So, I finally decided to start a new blog for my 40k projects. I came back to the hobby last year after a four year brake because I started my own business in 2016 and have been working around the clock pretty much since then. I've felt that something has been missing in my life for a while and decided to make time for my hobby where I can let the creativity flow.

I mostly build and paint terrain, khorne and imperial guards. Last year I did buy a bunch of Tyranids just to get started.

I did have a blog like this on another forum, but unfortunately they only have about 3-4 active users left. https://sv40k.se/forum/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=7050

First up:
A friend of mine gave me a box of containers and barrels from GW that he thought would look cool on the battle field. So lets make an example of them

A little diorama on the way from the Horus Heresy series.

I had this image in my head since I red "the Betrayer", when Angron saves Lorgar from getting flatted by a warhound titan.

Nice, haven't read the book but that looks pretty badass!
Are you just leaving the titan as the foot?
I feel adding anymore would draw attention away from the heroic pose

I am thinking about putting the hole titan above him. Also a wounded Lorgar on the ground.

If I remember correctly Lorgar was shot twice by the titans plasma gun and Angron step in between in the right moment before he was crushed.

@tzurk, Thanks!

A "little" update:
I have to redo both arms as they are swinging axes instead of lifting a titans foot.

Legs are almost done. I have to wait with the pistons on the foot that Angron is holding until I know the final position.
The upper body is under construction.

Upper body assembled as far as I can to make painting the interior easier. I have painted two warhounds before and its tricky to paint the inside when the body is fully assembled.
I have an idea about the crew elevator to be lowered a bit with a crew member aiming for Angron.

I'm impressed you're using an entire forgeworld titan forca diorama. I'm looking forward to seeing the whole thing done.

It's "go big or go home" I guess

A few updates. Guns in place, just the cables left. I have to wait a few hours till the glue sets that is holding the guns.

Started working on Angron's arms. Let see if I can replicate the old ones in a different position.
I haven't made any bigger greenstuff jobs before, mostly just added details like on my Khorne ogryns below.
What I learned from before is that patience is the key. Work with small areas at a time and not to sculpt the whole thing in one go.

It would be finished a lot faster at that scale

I have been working on his hand and added more leather straps on both left and right pauldron. I've also fixed his chain around his right fist.

Great work so far, it’s very 40k to be using a Titan as part of a character diorama! I love it!

@gobert and Flapjack: Thanks!

I took a break from Angron and added some battle damage on the titan. I carved a lot of scratches with a woodworking tool.
To add realism I removed some of the bolts close to an impact.

The line of 4 (probably auto-cannon? Maybe heavy bolter?) shots along the upper carapace are particularly great.

A little side project...

My gaming group had a few unpainted buildings I offered myself to paint. My friends didn't want a base for the buildings, so that limits the artistic freedom to the second and third floors.

Let's start with some sandbags!

Start with a flat sausage and cut it into even pieces.

Then shape them with a cloth with a good texture.

And push them gently in place or the will get to flat. The stitching line where made before shaping them with the cloth.

Some tiny crushable soda cans. Step by step.

Easier to paint them befor crushing.
