Assembling my very first one of these... guessing GW didnt actually mean for us to do this, but it seems that if one doesn't glue the Battlecannon it can be easily swapped for the Vanquisher, while all of the hull/sponson weapons look easily changed if you dont glue them into the pivots. Do people generally leave these as friction-fit and change the configuration at will?

I dont know about leaving them friction fit, but a lot of people that choose to have interswappable options tend to use magnets. This often means they need to drill some holes to put the magnets in

I leave all the sponson weapons as friction fit. Once they get primed they're a good fit and won't fall out.

For the turret weapons I magnetise them as they will keep falling off. They are a straight forward thing to magnetise too which is handy.

United King room or

Sponsoons can be magnetised so you have the choice whether or notnto take sponsoons full stop.

Before you complete the track assembly, whack a magnet inside.

Put another magnet on a new strut you will construct inside the sponsoon.

Google it and you will find videos.

For the turret, I magnetise the top and bottom so it half firm between weapons changes.

And yes, friction fits are very helpful!

Just to echo what has been said, all 3 sponson weps are fine as fiction fit since they are vedge shaped aslong as you dont remove the flash on the vedge. Add a layer of undercoat on the whole wep and the fit becomes even tighter.

Turret, yes i can confirm, magnetising the upper and lower turret parts is all you need to do, in order to swap weps easily, i did it on mine and works nicely.
Spoiler:

one 5mm mag has more then enugh strenght to keep the two halfs together, but you can allso use 2 3mm if you want to feel extra secure.

Dang, it never even occurred to me to make the sponsons themselves removable.

Oh well, this is only the first of what I'm sure will be many.
