Sad to see the end of this Iconic Duo. I was hoping they could do the soundtrack for a potential Tron 3! I'm glad they had fun closing things out though with the video.

Not my normal choice of listening, but they're an absolutely iconic act and it's definitely a loss for music. Talk about going out with a bang though!

Ehhh, I watched tron legacy, AKA the daft punk music video, and i don't remember one note of music asides from the eurythmics 'sweet dreams' in the old arcade. Their music made no impression on me a'tall.

I'm not saying they were bad, just not my thing given i don't remember them.

The Tron sound track is more for the appreciation of beautiful music than for stand out tracks that you keep going back to. The Discovery and Homework albums are full of memorable tracks. Random Access Memories was massively overrated and, aside from a single catchy track, completely forgettable.

Except for the songs they were involved with for other artists. So, more like 4ish.

Well, almost 30 years is a pretty good run in that industry....

Indeed. . . especially given that half of the act has made statements even in the early 2000s of some sustained hearing loss from their line of work. It would be very difficult to produce much when one of your greatest assets is falling apart.

Aw, what a bummer.

And did they really have to go and blow one of the guys up? I mean, jeez. That seemed kinda harsh, ya?

I play...

Sigh.

Who am I kidding? I only paint these days...

Blowing one of the duo up made it seem like a pretty permanent change to their status.....

At this point in their careers, it's more euthanasia than homicide.

For some reason I think they did that at the end of Electroma. Which is a bit of a weird one to watch.

Sigh, Yet another doomed attempt by man to bridge the gap between the material and spiritual worlds
