Long-Range Ultramarine Land Speeder Pilot

Hey everyone, Armada has been out for a few months now. I know it’s been a rough time to try and get any games in but hopefully that will pass soon. In the meantime it’d be great to see the ships and terrain folks are working on! I’ll get the sharing stared with my Orc Fleet and some other miscellaneous pieces.

Very nice! I love the checkerboard flags. I've almost (at last) got my ships from the starter set painted up so I will have some to share soon.

Thanks! I wanted each orc captain to have their own checked sail to allow their enemies to identify them (and worry about them!). So each ship has the checks in a different configuration. Ships crewed by goblins of course don’t get any checks.

I can’t wait to see them!
My friends are running Basileans against Dwarves next week. So I should have some more (Orcless) pictures to post after that.

A friend and I played a game of Armada tonight. Here are some photos from us trying Scenario 3: The Vortex for the first time.

It sure is! The model is from Mini Monster Mayhem but I purchased it from an authorized printer/ seller on Etsy.

Mantic's ocean mat is amazing! It looks just as good in person and lays wonderfully flat on the table. One of the folks I play with liked mine enough that they bought their own. He just said that it arrived with no creases or wrinkles in it at all. It's a great product from my experience!

I painted some Dreadfleet terrain pieces and a 1:700 scale cog.
An Orc Hammerfist chases a merchant cog through the narrow pass between Archelon Reef and Moltenfury Island.

Yesterday I mostly completed the Ocean fortress. I may apply some weathering powder right before the matte coat and some clump foliage afterwards. I haven’t thought of a name for the fortress yet.

Wow. That fortress is just stunning!
Here's my basilean ships, sadly i've got some repair work to do on my orcs. I'm not the most skilled painter and never will be but I'm happy with the colors i went with.
I think the little bomb ships are my favorites so far.

Your ships look great! I really like how you painted the bases. None of us are skilled painters, think of it as an endless mountain that you’ll never be able to finish climbing. Everything that you paint makes you a better painter but at the same time increases your awareness of what else is possible to accomplish. Getting any project table ready is a commendable accomplishment.

The dwarf ships are so neat looking! I need to get me some, and not just because they don't have sails. (one thing i have learned from armada is that painting the sails is... not my favorite part)
I think i shared this somewhere else before, but here's my orc bomb ship. It got a little damaged so I had to do some repairs but i think it's fully recovered now.

Very cool stuff! I really like how you do the textures on the bases.
Here's a couple of tiny sloops. I like the tiny ships the best.

I use Vallejo Acrylic Water Texture for my bases. It has a long dry time (24 hours or so) and only needs one coat. It comes in three colors. I chose the darkest (Atlantic Blue) but would probably get a different one if I were to do it again. I paint the base with Lothern Blue before applying the texture.
I liked the sloops too. I hope to finish my last Orc Smasher tonight and then have 2 more goblin sloops and an Orc Ripper Hulk before I’m done with the Orc Fleet.

I don't have the time, space, or energy to start a new game, especially one in such a different genre, but I'm enjoying the heck out of all these little ships you guys are sharing. Keep up the good work!

I’m really looking forward to seeing the Dreadnaught ships. How do they size up with a 28mm mini?
