Picked up a collection with a bunch of Malifaux models. The cards included are M2e. Do people still play and/or care about M2e, or should I trash the cards and find M3e cards?

Or is there not a big interest in Malifaux and I should just use the models for other games?

I was interested in the game during the first edition, and then fell off towards the beginning of M2e, so I'm WAAAY out of the loop as to what's going on with it.

M3E is more of a refinement of M2E than anything, so most people made the switch and haven't looked back. The M3E cards for everything can be found in the free app they made for the game or ordered from DriveThruRPG I believe.

Oh, free app is good. It would be a lot of cards to buy.

Thanks!

Now I just need to figure out what everything is. Things are SO much different from when the game was entirely metal minis...

Yeah. I played a bit then, but M2E really cleaned the game up. M3E didn't change a lot mechancially, but focused the game more on thematic crews that have unifying mechanical synergies. I've really enjoyed it, as its more what I originally wanted out of the game and I find it a lot easier to play random masters I like without collecting a whole faction.

As others have said, M3E is almost universally regarded as an improvement. I'm sure someone prefers M2E, but I've never heard anyone say so.

Also, if you're interested in a podcast about Malifaux, we do happen to have one...
