Anyone have any experience with the Mortem et Gloriam rule set and range by Plastic SOlider Company?
The game is primarily 15mm ancients.

Hi,

I have used Mortem et Gloriam, only solo so far as lockdown in the UK means I haven't had a face to face game in over a year. The system looks really good.

They are definitely not a 15mm only rule set. They produce 15mm figures but can be used foe any scale as all measurements are done relative to Base Widths.

Here is a link to an unboxing video I did a while back which may be of use.

Any questions just ask

Ken this is a fantastic unboxing and discussion -- thank you. I like and subscribed a few days ago actually.

15mm is actually may favorite scale, I find it a fine balance between looking magestic on the field but being fairly fast to paint.

I do have a question, which I asked on the Facebook Group as well but would like your feedback:

I'm thinking of army match-ups, and am keen on Sassanid Persian vs. Roman. But I noticed that army boxes are only made for early and late roman eras from Plastic Soldier Company, and I "think" the match up is supposed to me mid era for Romans against this force. At least, that is what the ready armies pages suggest on the website. If i wanted to support their PSC range, which Roman Pacto box would I purchase? They only have Early and Late.

Thanks Ken!

Mark, you would definitely be after late Roman. The House of Sasan took power in the 3rd century AD shortly before (about 60 years?) the Roman Empire was split in two.

Cool, thank you. And I feel your frustration about Covid isolation. I am fully vaccinated at the end of this month. I took a week off work and already have 4 game days planned.

I ordered the compendium rule box for MEG, and we look forward to printing some paper armies and trying it out asap. I'm also listening to the Meeples and Miniatures Podcast interview with the creator.

Cheers, see you around,

Thats great news, imgtaer has answered the figure question which is great.

I'm hoping to get Simon on my Yarkshire Gamers Reet Big Wargames Podcast in the future and talk about using the rules for the huge unpointed games we do

Oh that would be fantastic. He seems a stand-up guy to talk with.

My Late Roman and Persian armies are on their way to my door. Very excited.
Cheers Ken. Keep us dialed in.
