I finished a small unit of 5 Necron Warriors which is the prototype for the remaining 35 models. I chose a colour scheme close to my old Sautekh models but different enough to fit the more complex new models with more details. How will I stay motivated for 35 more? What do you guys do to work through 40 pieces of the same model without losing your motivation?

They look great! Nice effects with the gauss lighting. I've still got to build the necron half of indomitus, but it's far to the bottom of my list!

As for horde painting, I remember years ago when I collected Skaven I used to open up the windows to make it bright as possible. Stuck some headphones on and blasted some music and the hours flew by.

They look really good I like the glow around the eyes. Nice work.

These look great! I'm a big fan of the classic sautekh look, especially now that the box art has moved on to a different scheme.

Honestly the only way I've found I can stay motivated to paint 10+ of the same model is to do them all at once. Currently working through painting 35 freeguild guard as one big batch. If I do them in smaller batches I end up doing one or two batches and then losing interest.

Thanks for the accolade and the hints. I'll try to do another batch of 5 when I finished the Heavy Destroyer I am painting right now and see where this takes me.
