Heya Dakka - help me understand something. The Rift Cannon's special rules say:

"Each time an attack made with this weapon successfully wounds, do not make a saving throw: the target suffers 3 mortal wounds and the attack sequence ends."

It's "the attack sequence ends" that gives me pause. So, the Rift Cannon is a HeavyD3 weapon. So, let's say I roll 3 shots, hit with all 3 and then wound with all 3. Let's also assume I'm not Fast Dice Rolling.

So, I roll my first attack and I roll to wound. The enemy unit takes 3 mortal wounds and "the attack sequence ends." Does this mean that the other two attacks are lost? Or is each individual attack an attack sequence?

No, the other two attacks are not lost.

Each attack (to hit roll) is its own "attack sequence"

So if the first "attack sequence" ends, you proceed to the second. If that one ends, you proceed to the third.

DeathReaper is 100% correct. Remember that the attack sequence is written for one attack. You follow the sequence separately for each attack you make.

To give a rules context to support the above claims, attack sequence is what is referred to on pg 18 of free core rules. Note that determining the 'Number of Attacks' is always excluded from the attack sequence and instead is under shooting and fight phases (pg 16 &21).
