SNAKEBITE model only. Brogg’s Buzzbomb has the following profile:
Brogg’s Buzzbomb range, 6", Type Grenade 3D6, str 5, AP-1, dmg1. BLAST.

This weapon can only be used once per battle, and automatically hits its target. After all of its attacks have been resolved, you can immediately select another enemy unit within 6" of the target and resolve 2D6 attacks against it with the same weapon.

So if we take that a unit is standing in front of a character, can i throw the grenade on the unit, and then when it bounces off for 2D6 auto hits on another unit nearby, can i then target the character? Or how does that work with look out sir?

I understand the first time i throw it i cant throw it at the character, im just confused if lookout sir does anything for when the weapon bounces off and hits another target afterwards

Hope, is the first step on the road to disappointment.

My interpretation is that you are free to hit characters with the bounce since you aren't targeting them. I suspect that they did not intend this however.

Look out sir FAQ:

Change this rule to read:
Models cannot target a unit that contains any Character models
with a Wounds characteristic of 9 or less with a ranged weapon
while that Character unit is within 3″ of any of the following:

A friendly unit that contains 1 or more Vehicle or Monster models with a wounds characteristic of 10 or more.
A friendly non-Character unit that contains 1 or more Vehicle or Monster models.
A friendly non-Character unit that contains 3 or more models.
In all cases, if that Character unit is both visible to the firing model and it is the closest enemy unit to the firing model, it can be targeted normally. When determining if that Character unit is the closest enemy unit to the firing model, ignore other enemy units that contain any Character models with a Wounds characteristics of 9 or less.

Nothing here prevents what you are describing that I can see, unless we want another pedantic argument over "Targeting" and what that means. Buzz Bomb away!

Yeah I wouldn't interpret it as targeting it with a ranged attack, it's a weapon effect resolved on another unit of your choice.

Yeah, I mean, Targeting is in the description of the ability, and we had a thread on here recently on whether Smite can legitimacy be considered a "targeted ability" for the purposes of the Custodes Strat. I think it all hinges how who is reviewing it.

It isn't targeting but selecting, and unless you decide the two are the same meaning , which is unsafe, you're free to have this bounce effect hit a character.
