It’s definitely that model, but given it’s from 1987, when GW (and pretty much everyone else) cast in lead, it looks suspiciously clean.

I’m not ruling it out being well preserved, but it could be a recast.

If you’ve got it in hand, a quick way to find out is to tap it. If there’s a slight ‘ting’ for each tap, it’s not lead. If it’s more of a very dull ‘thud’ it probably is just a nice clean original.

Another way is a bit extreme, as it involves twisting a bit of it, such as the axe head. If it yields, it’s lead. If you feel, well, a sort of gritty feedback, it’s not lead.

Sorry, I’m not very good as describing these things!
