I thought this was a pretty cool idea to help get more people into the miniature gaming hobby. A gaming club has put together a boxed set ideal for someone interested in getting started in historical miniature gaming, in this case in the old west setting. Nothing in it individually is new, but it includes everything a new player would need to get started. 15mm old west miniatures and bases, a felt play mat, card buildings, trees, a set of rules and a campaign, character cards, dice, tokens, deck of cards, and even a dry erase marker for tracking wounds and ammunition.

It all fits in a little box for just $55. Obviously everyone here is already deep into miniature gaming, but if you know people who are kind of interested but don't know where to start or are a bit intimidated by all the stuff you need or how much you need to do to get started, share this with them. I also think it's cool of this group to be doing proactive stuff like this to help grow the hobby.
