Well who's betting GW legal team is gonna shut this down as they did with the updated Eldar models Kickstarter.

I like them. If they were a GW or FW release I'd maybe pick some up. But yeah, I dont see this one lasting.

Squats are not supported by mini range or fiction.

However its possible GW's legal vultures will justify their pay by sending a C&D out.

I'd be questioning the need of the maker to make their not bolt weapons bolt weapon looking.

But they damned sure are cool looking Squats!

I dunno. With eldar, they still sell a full range of the models. I think the only part of these models that are still actively sold by GW are the bolters.

Anyhoo. Hopefully of interest to someone.

Yeah, I'm tempted to get some for 30k Militia use.

Everything about this campaign page seems too close to source to survive GW's notice. Minis look great, but I've already bought in hard on INSO's Space Swarfs in metal.

If only they made a Command Squad/Heavy Weapons sprue so I'll have more than three bodies to play around with.

Hah. fully funded, all stretch goals achieved and no more space for anyone to join in.

I guess these models will hit retail after the KS has been delivered.

I believe they've said that they are considering that but they may just work exclusively through kickstarter, with the next campaign allowing people to buy sets from the first.

Seems like an odd way to do things, but maybe they're trying to avoid GW's wrath.

I was initially subbed to this, but decided in the end I couldn't justify the price.

From discussion elsewhere on this board, relying on Kickstarter for something so close to GW products is more dangerous as a minimal effort on GW side leads to take downs. I think the benefit of this business model is that you don’t need to hold stock, and don’t need to rush production for unplannable demand. The vendor controls the timeline and gets a very close prediction of what needs to be produced.

It might not be as lucrative as open market, but it helps control risk. Until you get C&D’d

I care 0% about Squats, I might even say I actively despise them, right up there with Fimir, as I do all of these eternal grognard hangups. But these are fine sculpts, finer than Forge Fathers and finer than Einherjar (sorry, lord marcus). I'd happily buy these as just random Space Dwarfs with GW styled guns.

Posters on ignore list: 36

40k Potica Edition - 40k patch with reactions, suppression and all that good stuff. Feedback thread here.

Gangs of Nu Ork - Necromunda / Gorkamorka expansion supporting all faction. Feedback thread here

As someone that is putting together a squat army I'd have loved to get some of these. Too bad all the backer spots are taken.

Keep an eye on them. Given that they maxed out their campaign in about a day, it’s likely they will run it again.
