Hello!

Playing against a Necron Player and probably a Blood Angels player tomorrow night. Missions will be all about objectives and killing your warlord.
Any advice would be great. I also have Sentinels, several LRs, a Manticore, Psychers I could use if this list is less than adequate.

I would run the commissars with the troops in their respective Chimeras. Lemans would run on each flank to supply a pincher move.

Looks like I'm late to the party. How did it play? I'd have been worried that you might have needed more infantry?

Indeed, interested to hear how it went! I have four infantry squads in my 1000 point list, two mech, two foot, and I worry that's not enough.

The battle went better than I expected! We actually ended up play 2v2 (My Steel Legion & Necrons VS Space Wolves & Blood Angels)

As I expected, the enemy targeted my Leman Russes most of the time with little concentration on my Necon ally.
Both Chimeras managed to seize objectives by disembarking their troops w/ Commissars while the LRs laid down a suppressing fire to slow down the Marines.

I did lose both my Chimeras eventually to the Space Wolves Predator Tank and the BAs Sanguinary Guard ( I hate those guys).

By the time we made it to Turn 5, there wasn't much left of the SW players army and the BA army was pretty much pulverized by the Necron player's Heavy Destroyers. The SW dreadnaught was an easy target as well because it failed alot of saves.

It was all in my tactics. Run the Chimeras in the center while the LRs fire continuously from a distance. Battle Canon galore!!!!

TBH _ I run mostly Tanks and metal now. Troops are well and good but they are simply there to hold objectives and get in the enemies way. The more mechanized units, the better!
