So Frostgrave gave us a nice collection of a dozen or generic fantasy kits from adventurers to wizards to cultists to gnolls and snake men.

For Stargrave they've already done Crew, Mercenaries and Troopers. They also said they plan to do female versions of Mercenaries and Crew (Troopers already have female heads and it was reasoned that the armor made anything else unnecessary).

So what might be next?

I have no idea, so this is wish listing and speculating, but hey, why not.

Robots seems the obvious gap right now. Whether they'd be Cybermen/guys in suits style robots or industrial robots or whatever would be the main question.

Captains and First Mates would be another cool kit, but probably wait a while till the metals have sold reasonably well.

Some kind of big brutes maybe? Cyborgs or hulking aliens?

I'd love some astronauts in space suits too.

There are so many beasties that an NPC frame or 2 could sell well.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

I wonder if there's any hope of a shuttle/landing pod? Yeah there are options out there but it seems a popular project.

If they made a symmetrical square they could repeat the same sprue 4 times and it might be feasible.

Something like this...

The earliest Frostgrave sets were themed to the latest expansion, so Cultists for Thaw of the Lich Lord, Gnolls for Into the Breeding Pits, and Barbarians for the third expansion. So whatever the primary foe in Quarantine 37 is, the next plastic set will be that. Hopefully it will not be space zombies, as I have those from Sedition Wars. A BYO Mutant box would be welcome.

Edit of 30 May.@lord_blackfang. Yes, I'd like BYO Robots too!

My ploy to get Wargames Atlantic to make a box of robot bitz failed, so maybe here...

I'll agree, although it will be tricky to make the bits work together while still giving a decent selection of robots, droids, cyber folk etc

I like this 'almost a dalek' from Archon's Dungeons and Lasers stretch goal box

Automatically Appended Next Post:
I'd also like some aliens with different proportions/numbers of limbs/etc

but they're even harder to do than the robots

I think space pirates and the ilk is an bvious choice. And maybe some bug like aliens for swarm type enemies. That should do the hostiles for now.

Space zombies would be weird, as Mantic already has exactly that in their repertoire...

Hoping for bad guys and female crews next.

Mantic already made a literal bag of robot parts (in restic, sadly) as one of their Dreadball teams and everything goes together in any way you want

This is from a BOLS review, screencapped because actually sending you to BOLS would violate the Geneva convention

I have some and sadly they're the most horrible restic I've had from mantic and were pretty much unusable,

but thanks for the reminder, i'll have to keep my eyes open for some cheap somewhere in the hopes of getting something usable
