is there a canon color for ceramite? I remember an article saying it started as a thin white liquid that was put into molds under pressure and heated for hours, so i was assuming it was basically white. But i think i might have read that it can be mixed with dyes to make it any color you wanted.

Grey Knights had (not sure if it's still the case) unpainted ceramite armor, and that's why they were called Grey Knights.

yhea, most artwork i have seen seems to indicate that its a concrete-like shade of grey when unpainted. the Grey knights seem to have drifted form dull grey to a more metallic, silver shade.

To be a man in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be relearned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of thirsting gods.

Pre heresy death guard ( dusk raiders) wore unpainted power armour and that was grey.

Perhaps ceramite is a dull gray until polished. After every demon battle they just break out the wire brushes and get to work. Buff that demon ichor right out.

I also believe that grey knights were grey because of their in painted power armour. But I have seen them painted up like chrome. Which isn’t grey, they would be the shining knights if they were supposed to be that colour.
But on the GW website they are painted eavy metal style which is a bit confusing as I makes them look shiny but they are mostly still just lead belcher
