So after getting into Adepticus Titanicus and falling pretty hard for the system, I am slowly expanding my forces. I also realized that the plain sanded bases would be a shame, and after seeing folks work around the net decided to try and do my own take on detailed basing to really drive home how big they are.
Here are some of my current attempts. On the ones sanded I added the terrain effects, guardsmen etc on top, or pulled small parts of the basing off after the realization the plan sand would not look that interesting with such imposing models. With the bottom one, I am working straight onto the base before sanding and will be for all future purchases going forward.
Warlord with Guard and traitors clashing beneath
Reaver, two ratlings holding a farmstead
Warhound, Rough ride scouts following the mighty machine, for a little while at least
Acastus Knight, what tank traps
Warlord, the Warhound wasn't quick enough today
On a side note, trying to track down some Marines for basing is proving a pain, they seem to go for silly money when in smaller lots, I suspect for the same reasons I want them, and I don't really want to pay for a huge army when all I want is basing materials. I continue to try however.
At some point I will move on to painting, with my Loyalist forces being Legio Solaria and my eldest lads traitors being a split of Mortis and the Tiger Claws.
As I do more I will share it in this thread in the future, so this is in effect a Titanicus Project thread going forward.
