Hi, i have started a Blood Angels army and i just need to know if i should paint their helmets red as they are a troop choice instead of yellow. Thanks.

While a troop pick, they fill the chapter role of close support, so I’d assume they get the same helmet as assault marines, biles, etc.

They should have yellow helmets if you are following the official colour scheme, but ultimately their your guys, so paint them however you prefer.

On the box art they have close support shoulder markings (the x decal) which is the Ultramarines equivalent of blood angels with yellow helmets.

Page 32 of the Blood Angels codex supplement has an Assault Intercessor with a yellow helmet.

Yellow as from a (in universe) Codex perspective they are designated as a close assault unit even though they are listed as troops choice by the (in real life) Codex.
