Hey all,

Not an AoS player, but the new Orcs (Orruks?) in Dominion are really cool looking.

Does anyone here know if they're the new 35-40mm scale, or if they are smaller than the Sigmarines and more in line with GW's older models? They're a bit expensive to blind-buy, but they look worth picking up a few if they're human (i.e., 28-30mm) sized.

Thanks DD hive mind!

I play...

Sigh.

Who am I kidding? I only paint these days...

Well, most of them are listed as being on 32mm bases. And in the pics they are smaller than the Stormcast.

Look to be the same size as existing Orruks, just more lean and less slouching.

The existing Orruks (I have one box, I think maybe the first one that came out?) are enormous. They're ogres (well, smallish ogres, maybe, depending on how you define your ogres!) against my various humans, elves and dwarves!

Ironjawz are meant to be large as they're constantly fighting for years on end and Orruks grow bigger the more they fight.

Note that they're not the only type of Orruks in AoS. There's also the Bonesplitterz who are the old Savage Orcs from WHFB and not as large as the Ironjawz.

Thanks for sharing AduroT! It's definitely emphasizing a tall lankiness that contrasts a lot against the typical stocky/gorilla style GW Orc/Orruk. I personally prefer the oldschool orc style, but I can dig a different take on the typical Orc. Definitely will need to see the complete rules in the Warclans book before I make any purchases though.
