Greetings,

We're throwing down the skirmish version of CONQUEST soon, called First Blood.

Here is my test for the 100 Kingdoms rank and file known as Men at Arms.
The contras red does not work well on the shield -- I need to use traditional acrylics on such a flat surface.
I'm most happ with the base, actually.

What works for you and what doesn't? I'll have 8 of these to paint total.

Base looks great! I would agree that contrast paint for ghe shield does not work. The rest lf the model looks ace. Could be the picture, but maybe another wash on the helmet?

Thank you so much. Yes, the helmet is darker on the on the back, but the light holds a bit of a glare here. Noted for the future though.

The secret on the base is small green tea leaves.

Cheers

Model looks great! I’ll repeat that the shield doesn’t work as a contrast surface.

I’d also darken up the armor a bit more. It may be just me (in which case ignore it!) but I’ve always felt that the armor would be less shiny on men-at-arms since they likely don’t take the time to polish it!

One of them filthy casuals...

I will indeed scruff and dirty them more. Thanks for viewing and for the feedback!
