I fully understand how challenging it must be to properly represent Callidus assassins on the tabletop, given that their task is to blend in among the enemy until the time comes to strike. They would look like Chaos cultists if infiltrating Chaos cultists, T'au if infiltrating the T'au, etc. Obviously you cannot make a Callidus assassin model for every single faction that the Imperium fights.

I just wonder if the fluff ever mentions those suits in any way, or if we're meant to imagine a Callidus as wearing whatever clothes the enemy wears.

Presumably, the Callidus model is to represent the Assassin in a battle environment. The Callidus present in the story "Throne of Lies" uses her Polymorphine to become a person but has to take their clothes/equipment to finish the disguise. Likewise, the many Callidus seen in the Beast Arises don't shapeshift clothes.

It’s Synskin. It’s protective, lightweight and can fit easily under any disguise that may need to be taken.

Also according to Rogue Trader it also feeds “sense enhancing chemicals” into the assassins skin, whatever that means. And I think is literally sprayed on, given that if you had synskin, you also got synskin solvent as an item.

Part of the fluff (mainly for balance reasons) is the assassins wear enemy uniforms and carry enemy weapons but drop them when they go into battle.

Yeah that shuricat may be useful, but the assassin's weapons are like extensions of her arm.

And in some comics I've seen the Callidus portrayed as using a holo disguise rather than shape changing.

That being said it would be cool project to have a Callidus for each major faction. Maybe an STL set.

I'd love to have a Callidus represented mid-trasformation.

I can't condone a place where abusers and abused are threated the same: it's destined to doom, so there is no reason to participate in it.

No! Absolutely not. That is one of the most cursed pieces of lore I've ever read and it should not be revisited.

A Meh’Lindi half way transformed into a genestealer hybrid could be cool.
