Hey guys, I whipped this guy up today, mostly using shades and contrast paints as a speed paint (I have terrible attention span so need to make an army quick to paint!). I added some painted areas like the shield and metal, and some general highlights.
I do feel like he’s gonna disappear a little into the base but hopefully the highlighted texture paint and grass tufts will help to separate them a tad.

Anyway, any suggestions are welcome, thanks for looking

I’m finishing up the rest of a group of 5 and will chuck them up soon, once I’ve had the chance to base them.

That's a speed paint? It looks great! If you stick to that formula, you'll have an epic looking army in no time.

I'm impressed. Maybe I need to finally pull the trigger and try contrast paints.

Thanks. Tbf, I do do a bunch of stuff to it after the initial contrast or shade over zenithal priming. I do some cleanup and some quick wet highlighting to make it all look finished. I also did the metals (obviously) and shields with normal paints as it’s such a feature, though I have actually seen the shields done really well just using contrast in a YouTube vid.
