Hey everybody!

So, perusing stuff for a daft side-project (did I ever mention that I'm fully cracked-out on side projects now? ), when my little magpie eyes found themselves a-gazing upon GSW's glow-in-the-dark crystals. Now, being an absolute goblin at heart, shinies? I love me some shinies. But glowing shinies? Be still my beating, anxiety-ridden heart.

I poked about online a fair bit, but I can't find anything to do with the glowing crystals. No photos, no reviews, nothing. Has anyone here bought them, or can anyone with a slightly less goblin-y brain persuade me that they'll look bad unless you've got the mini in the dark?
I feel like that's gonna be the case, and I'd be better served by getting the regular clear ones, but I'm not sure haha.

Thanks for looking! Really appreciate any comments that any of you might add! Take care!

Hello,

I am a big fan of GSW and I don’t think I’ve been disappointed with any of their products. They seem to be a refreshing level of consistent quality. But that’s just one mans opinion. But I would say they are worth a punt.

I haven’t tried these exact ones but I bought a pack of the clear crystals and colour them with inks and it works really well.

Thats the best I can offer.

Another styling option that I have seen pictures of and you might like is using the fluor pigments on your bases

Yeah! I've used a few of their products before, and I've got to say I'm usually a fan. I'm looking at using some of their cobblestone rollers to do some mordheim bases, and thought I'd add a bit of flavor with the crystals, but I'm agonizing over which flavor of green to get - I've seen loads of people use the fluor stuff to make their regular crystals glow, which does look fun, but if I'm going to the trouble of making things glowy myself, I'd be tempted to try out the Culturehustle stuff instead, just because their gear seems really high quality, and I like what they do generally, and have been dying for an excuse to try them out
That said, a shortcut is a shortcut, I ain't gonna complain! Anyway, if any of you have used the GSW glow crystals, please drop by, I'd love to hear your experiences!

According to the blurb on their site, you have to expose them to UV light for a period in order for them to glow (so much like a lot of the "glow in the dark" plastic stuff, then. I have dice that do this).
The glow won't be that strong, or for that long (it all depends on how long you leave them exposed to the source, as well as the size of the pieces), but they will give a glow.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
