ANGRY TOURNAMENT 2021 MISSION PACK
An exploration of how to better design a mission set so that it is easier to remember and a better foundation for creating well-balanced points costs.
Problems with the 2020 mission pack:
*Lack of terrain guidelines, the few pictures in the main rulebook is not enough to establish a variety of balanced terrain setups.
*Factions have access to different objectives.
*There is no clear distinction between a No Mercy, No Respite secondary objectives and Purge the Enemy objectives.
*Secondaries don't scale well between different point levels.
*Linebreaker, Domination, Investigate Sites and the Warpcraft secondaries are not great.
*Mission secondaries are hit and miss.
*There are no gunline secondaries, without mobility you cannot win.
*You can double down on killing PSYKER CHARACTERS with Abhor the Witch and Assassinate.
*Missions 12, 13, 32 and 33 have additional mission rules, missions 13, 23 and 31 have a different primary objective, there is no rhyme or reason to this system.
*Re-using the Domination name for both a secondary objective and a primary objective.
Goals
*Being the defender or the attacker should not be better or worse by much in any mission.
*Going first should not be better or worse by much in any mission.
*No army list should have a less than 40% win rate in one mission and more than 60% win rate in another mission.
