Hi All

I think this is a great article the BBC has done promoting the hobby.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-nottinghamshire-57996237

Its very easy to complain and forget about the good parts of the hobby.
But this article has certainly helped me appreciate the hobby a bit more.

My missus is not in a great place mentally and I have managed to get her involved in some hobby things. which helped her somewhat.
Not to mention of course my own therapeutic sessions. Wrist soreness here we come

Anyone have some positive stories relating to the hobby and spending time with family and friends they'd like to share ?

This is going to sound weird, but I've recently started going to my new LGS' monthly tournaments and I've never had so much fun with 40k. They're little 15-20 person events, some of those guys are driving 4+ hours to be there and bringing really hard lists, I'm losing horribly and I'm having a ball being able to bring my A-game.

I'm used to playing with a much more casual crowd (at a different LGS that hasn't reopened the gaming space yet), and it's both refreshing and a little surreal how much less the competitive tournament guys complain about the game balance.
