I tried my hand at creating a battle report in an appropriate style for 5th edition, but on YouTube...

Though guards may sleep and ships may lay at anchor, our foes know full well that big guns never tire.

I had a quick glance at the video, really cool!

I just wondered: How did you get a charge off in Turn One on the Scouts on the right hill? Was there a line of sight?

And... did you not use standard table size e.g. having 24 inches in between deployment zones?

Thanks.

As for the charge, Nathan had moved the scouts up onto the hill in his first turn. I landed up falling just short of making te 24" charge (Harpies charge 24" due to being able to fly) but Nathan had already chosen to flee from the charge, as you decide recations first, then measure charge range.

Mark me as not being apt in 5th ed rules! So fly movement without "flying high" was 24" for flyers in 5th, I thought it had always been 20" like from 6th onward. Misunderstanding number one.

And line of sight was also different seemingly, I thought the forest blocked the sight. But if elevated on a hill, they are visible in 5th it seems. Line of sight to things on the same elevation level were still blocked by woods, or could you see through everything like in 8th?

Keep up the good work!

The harpy on the end just about had the angle to see past the woods and the Scouts in the 45degree front arc prior to charging.
