What is the actual ability that each primarch has? I know some are tougher, stronger, faster than others which is great, but is there a list that says that "Sanguinius has wings and precognition. Angron has rage. Rowboat has organization."

The reason I ask this is that some of the primarchs seem to have gotten some great powers (Magnus...ahem) and others got just the enhanced physiology common to all of them.

Grey Knights 712 points Imperial Stormtroopers 3042 points Lamenters 1787 points Xenomorphs 995 points 1200 points + 1790 points 770 points 369 points of Imperial Guard to bolster the Sisters of Battle

Prior to his enslavement as a gladiator, Angron actually had the ability to heal himself and possibly others. This ability was ruined when the Nails were implanted however.
Each Primarch is essentially a shard of the Emperor and gained a portion of his abilities. Some His intellect, others His charisma and some gained much more pronounced features like Magnus' Psyker nature.

Hmm.

Corax can turn invisible.
Mortarion can somehow "appear"/teleport shunt.
Perturabo can instantly reverse engineer, repair, and improve any object.
Vulcan is perpetual.
Konrad had premonition.
Lorgar absorbs information, and has his charismatic aura.
Guliman can predict all logistic possibilities.

Thats all I can think off the top of my head...

I didn’t know that about Lorgar.

Adding to the list-
Alpharius can appear unobtrusive/insignificant

Thanks for that!

Sanguinius has precognition and can fly.

Is that all that Alpharius does? The "one soul, two bodies" thing... what does that mean/do?

I don’t think no there’s any specifics given regarding the twins Alpharius and Omegon other than some sort of vague psychic connection and them not feeling whole before they met.

As for the ability to go unnoticed or unremarked, it is quite impressive given that they are 8ft tall post humans. They seem to be able to walk through a crowded room without anyone paying attention or to have a face to face conversation with someone and them not be able to clearly recall who they spoke to or what they looked like. I’d put that on par with Corax’s shadow invisibility.

Also there seems to be the ability to transfer minds with their legionaries, but whether that is a specific primarch ability or something else I’m not sure.

I think Magnus had psychic powers

Dorns power was that he was good at defensive posturing and building fortifications, not sure how you phrase that as a super power but he was probably good at Lego

The lion was good at keeping secrets. I think his power was he became so stoic and emotionless that it made him ruthlessly efficient. He’s described at every point never relaxing, always looking for attack opportunities and routes to victory, even amongst allies. The ultimate predator. I think if he was designed to have a dominating attribute over the primarchs it was to be the ultimate warrior (not that one) and warlord.

Horus was the leader

Mortarion was a punk

Angron, as is often pointed out, wasn’t designed to have rage, he was designed to be extremely compassionate and apparently had healing abilities. The butchers nails took that away from him.

I think it’s worth pointing out that although when all primarchs are compared some of the seem like they don’t really have the abilities of strength and martial ability, but compared to humans and normal marines they are all super humans

For Primarchs that actually had unique attributes beyond just the bog standard superhuman physical and mental abilities of varying degrees. Basically, anything that they have that is innately their own powerful and not something Warp-based or unique to them.

Lion El'Jonson: Was able to perceive Warp phenomena and infused his blade with his will to kill and banish Fateweaver, albeit subconsciously.

Perturabo: Had innate knowledge of just about everything, being a natural polymath of all practical and metaphysical sciences.

Jaghatai Khan: I've heard he can create storms, though never read it myself.

Leman Russ: Had an innately very high resistance to the Warp and the psychic powers that used them, which is what enabled him to go toe to toe with Magnus.

Konrad Curze: Could see the future.

Sanguinius: Could also see the future, and demonstrated telekinesis in Fear to Tread, or something like it. Probably the third most powerful psyker of the Primarchs in the lore.

Ferrus Manus: Metal hands

Angron: Once could soothe the pain of others with a touch. The Nails robbed him of this ability.

Mortarion: Could use shadows to essentially teleport.

Magnus the Red: By far the most powerful psyker of the group, capable of doing several of the psychic specialties of other Primarchs just as well on top of being the biggest psychic powerhouse short of the Emperor himself.

Lorgar: Kind of a mini-Magnus, being a powerful psyker (especially after embracing his powers after his fall) but to a lesser extent.

Vulkan: A perpetual, incapable of dying.

Corvus Corax: Had a sort of telepathic invisibility. He couldn't make himself truly invisible, but could force organic minds that viewed where he was to not perceive him.

Alpharius Omegon: Two bodies that share one soul.

Should be noted that every primarch without exception has innate psychic abilities, but only a few ever really learned how to harness them at will or to expand their psychic repertoire the way Magnus or Lorgar did. Also not counting power gained after falling to Chaos, like Horus after becoming the vessel of the Chaos Gods, or Fulgrim who after falling and regaining control of his power gained sorcery strong enough to enable him to destroy Warhound Titans with a gesture (kind of, he made its occupants expand and throb with so much energy it shattered its hull).

It should be pointed out, though, that they're not his hands. They're living metal from when he killed something that is strongly hinted to be a C'tan shard.

It's a nice irony that the two most rabidly anti-xenos primarchs, Ferrus and Fulgrim, both end up being bonded to xenos artefacts which dictate their and their legions' fate.

It's also cool that "killing a big silver dragon-shaped C'tan shard" is apparently a trait Ferrus inherited from his father...

EDIT: That's a very appropriate username, considering...

A little bit of righteous anger now and then is good, actually. Don't trust a person who never gets angry.

Its not confirmed that the Silver Wyrm was anything other than a construct made of living metal. It's heavily hinted that Medusa could have been a Necrontyr world but its left deliberately vague.

I thought hunting the silver worms was some sort of sport and the emperor and ferrus went off to do it together to see if the emperor could beat him this proving his superiority and that he was the emperors have I mixed up stories

You're thinking of Vulkan and drake-hunting.

Ferrus had defeated Asirnoth and gained his metal hands long before his dad turned up.

The Khan is known for having an incredible quick mind, and is able to react to events around him very quickly, as well as process information incredibly quickly.

Every Primarch can do this. Without a single exception. Is he noted to be particularly good at it?

I think the Khan's special power is making otherwise excellent authors like Chris Wraight use the word 'inscrutable' with cringe-inducing frequency.

Joking aside, he seems to have an ability to keep his thoughts and motivations hidden, and to be constantly underestimated and misunderstood by allies and enemies alike. Even Malcador admits to having no idea what the Khan will think or do and just assumes he will join Horus, IIRC.

The Khan being a potential ally of Horus was because he didn't really get on with his brothers, bar Magnus and Horus. He kept his Legion on standby so as not to rush into catastrophe after hearing of Isstvan. However, despite this the Khan remained utterly loyal to the Emperor and when a portion of his Legion rebelled, he used them as suicide troops to trap Mortarion and the Death Guard on the Swordstorm before detonating it.

The Khan was also one of the few to speak against banning psychers during Nikea.
