Is 'Eavy Metal Calling?

UK

Sorry, left this a bit late so it'll be a 24 hour poll this time. Your options for September are:

Special Features: Whether magical, technological or biological, your entry should feature miniatures with unique special abilities that make them especially suited to their battlefield roles.

I Am The Law: Those rebels need keeping in line! Your entry should feature those tasked with maintaining and restoring order in the face of rebellion, crime or insurrection.

Heavy Metal: Clanking plate armour, monstrous war machines or just large minis from the 90s! Your entry should feature metal, and lots of it!

I’ve been looking for an excuse to paint my Judiciar, so voted for The Law.

But I also just started putting together a box of heavy intercessors, who I’d like to get done by the end of the year. This would help fast-track them.

Special Features would probably get some Eldar our of me.

It’s all good!

I have a range of robots to fit into heavy metal, but to be honest they can be crowbarred into any of these

Voted I Am The Law, mostly because that's the only one I felt naturally fit into the Cursed City / Vyrkos theme I've kept up with so far. Thankfully I have ideas which could work for the other two.

Looks like Heavy Metal has the lead and we're basically at the end. Which is good, because I'm feeling the urge to paint up some Dreadnoughts for my Dark Angels. Or even maybe my Invictor Warsuit.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/1/23, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~15000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Adeptus Custodes: ~1900 | Imperial Knights: ~2000 | Sisters of Battle: ~3500 | Leagues of Votann: ~1200 | Tyranids: ~2600 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000
Check out my P&M Blogs: ZergSmasher's P&M Blog | Imperial Knights blog | Board Games blog | Total models painted in 2023: 40 | Total models painted in 2024: 7 | Current main painting project: Dark Angels

Hm. I voted for I Am The Law with the intent of painting up the three Dark Judges that have been sitting their Box Of Shame for all these years. Then again, Anthrax did sing about Judge Dredd, so I think I can sneak them in that way if nothing else occurs to me in the next day or two...

Now showing Samurai Marines!

Painting total as of 3/18/2024: 14 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain

Painting total for 2023: 79 plus 28 Battlemechs and a Dragon-Balrog

Just remembered I have a resin russ-a-like that has been sitting in a box for about 4 years! Perfect opportunity!

All hail the Metal.

Will this be the month I get around to using the remaining part from my 90's Ork Dreadnought?

They switched up the grot tank rules, so now I have new command tank that needs a coat of yellow.
