thread really. I dont know how that works out.

They charge in, they attack, they then attack again? Then i attack afterwards.

Or is it: They charge, they attack, i attack, they attack again?

Hope, is the first step on the road to disappointment.

Are they a unit that charged? Yes
As such they fight first
You can interrupt this using the strat, or if yiu have other units that fight first you would alternate

Charging units fight first. Khorne berzerkers fight first, then fight first again, then the player whose turn is not taking place selects an eligible unit to fight. You can interrupt them with the 2CP stratagem after they have fought the first time.

thanks. was wondering if they had to fight again for free after the initial fight phase.

Hope, is the first step on the road to disappointment.

They fight first because they charged, then they re-enter the "pool" of "fight first" units, which may include units from both armies, and if your opponent has a "fight first" unit, it can be selected before the Berzerkers fight for a second time as players alternate selecting units.

If your opponent doesn't have any "fight first" units, you can immediately select the Berzerkers to fight again, or choose a different unit in your army that is also "fight first", then come back to the Berzerkers later, but still before any units that don't have "fight first".

the only real way you have to respond between their fights is that you can interrupt after the first fight if you want.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Think of each fight activation from a Berzerker unit as if it were a completely separate unit that was making the attacks. Did the unit charge? Think of it as being the same as having two separate units that have charged.

The Appendix of the Core Rules book goes into a bit more detail on how to handle this.
