agreed. not something I'd kickstart unless I was happy with my money paying legal fees

On the basis that this stuff has been publicly available since May and no action has been taken, why is it a worry that your money might go to pay someone else’s legal fees, when you will get what you kickstart?

The stretch goals are being shown as file renders as well, so it not even as if there is a big risk of failure to deliver the stretch goals if the hammer is dropped after it funds.

Well nothing has ever gone wrong with an Aliens kickstarter before, so why worry.

Very nice but I doubt the marines will scale with the Prodos resins. Says 28 to 32mm but it looks to me like the pulse rifles are much larger, in comparison to the rest of model, compared to the prodos marines.

I thought long and hard before backing this. I am not into AVP, though I have friends who are and can no longer get the Prodos stuff.

I backed for the vehicles, which are oddly mostly original designs but with an alienverse feel to them, which is fine by me.

Depending on how it goes and what gets unlocked I might stick with this or withdraw my pledge. I am on the fence on this one, it has some good items, but enough for $43? Maybe, maybe not, time will tell.

Wow, this one is seriously blatant, even for Kickstarter.

The hybrid and succubus at least offer something that isn’t already available in HiPS. The spacesuit marines with guns look brilliant. I’m surprised no one makes something similar in plastic.

Has anyone printed off any of this company's range of files?

If so, can we get a review of them?

I see a lot of free gear in there, how did/ does it work out for you, those who have printed them off?

I signed up to his patreon a while back (the one just before he went nuts on alien stuff). No problems at all, though I did resupport this one with my own supports so I've not tested theirs (I think, from memory, they might be a touch on the heavy side here and there).

Looking at his feet, you just know he sounds like Freeza/Cooler when he walks.

Take a look at my thread on the 3d printing subforum (pages 10 and 13), I've printed a bunch of Papsikels's stuff

Pretty great overall.

Well, KS has a higher profile than MyMiniFactory. Mirimax and Nintendo have sent C&D letters on KS projects. Still, since most of these are existing stl files, backers should get their rewards sooner than if, say, they were backing physical goods, unless the IP holder actually goes against the creator, not just shut down the project. The project has about a month left, and any IP-related action that happens before the campaign ends won't affect backers, of course

The designer is trying to get everything done during the KS, though I think they underestimated how fast and how high the total would rise.

That said the biggest slowdown after the KS is likely the 2 week payment wait and then the wait for any pledge manager systems, which should be fairly light on this one as its pretty basic.

I took a look through the Patreon releases, and it looks like most of the xenomorphs are single-pose, single-mini for each variant. Doesn't look very helpful for my Stargrave needs, as I was hoping for some of the basic types to have multi-pose modular sculpts, so I passed.

If anyone has the patreon packs and can let me know if I'm wrong, I'd appreciate it.

As lovely as some of these look, I dare say Fox (or I guess Disney now?) will come down on this like a great big sack of excrement.

That being said I would love to get my hands on some of those Colonial Space Guards, even if just as painting pieces!

I've printed quite a bit of Papsikels stuff. He's made modular figures before and I'm sure he'll do it again.

Just last month he did his colonial marine styled orcs (but they're more the size of ogryn) as a fully modular set.

Most of the presupported stuff has turned out fine. Only time I've had issues are on larger figures and even then I'd say most issues were more my fault than theirs.

Can't un-see that Gigerian Brood Succubus.

I decided to stay for the ride. Ended up getting quite a bit.

Now to download before any lawyers show up.
