I am a big Nightlords fan, I am Schizophrenic so I feel an affinity with Curze. Reading his slip into mania feels very familiar, it's very well written and researched, assuming Aaron Dembski-Bowden doesn't have first hand experience.

Because of this connection I feel to this imaginary character my wife got me Curze' model for my 40th birthday back in August. Today I have started to prepare the model for assembly and paint (I actually hoovered up his fingers from his right hand, can't find them in the hoover bag so I've emailed Forgeworld to see if they'll sell me some more. Ha!)

Upon looking closely at the model and the little blokes Konrad has killed, I've noticed that each kill/skull etc has a little tag on it, almost like Curze has labelled each body so he doesn't forget which is which.

Is this something Curze does in lore? I haven't read anything about it in the Black Library books. While that doesn't mean much (they aren't known for being 100% accurate with lore after all) in the books, I would expect Forgeworld to be accurate due to their relationship with Games Workshop.

I only ask as I'm not sure whether they're supposed to be there, maybe they're left over from the casting process? Should I remove them or are they supposed to be there?

Can't say that I remember this being noted in lore but I haven't read much of the fiction involving Kurze. That being said, I think the word you're looking for is "posterity" rather than "prosperity".

You could well be right, I'm dyslexic but too stubborn to let it stop me using big word that I clearly don't have a firm grasp of their actual meaning hahaha.

Is Konrad Curze spelt differently in different countries? I've seen a lot of people use Conrad Kurze but very few seem to use Konrad Curze.

Hmm. They might be used to inscribe Nostroman runes on. Strange that they weren't sculpted with runes already...

I'm gonna have to look up other people's paint jobs on Kurze. I never even noticed the tags before.

Maybe they are notes of his visions scribbled down? Warrants of execution?

Wow, what a fun little detail open to many interpretations.

Looking at the painted version on the Forgeworld site... is it possible it's a Vlad Tepesh (Dracula) reference? Because bat iconography?

It almost looks like he's nailed a chunk of their helmets into their skulls, which reminds me of the legend of Dracula nailing some Ottoman envoys' hats to their heads.

ATTENTION
. Psychic tests are unfluffy. Your longing for AV is understandable but misguided. Your chapter doesn't need a separate codex. Doctrines should go away. Being a "troop" means nothing. This has been a cranky service announcement. You may now resume your regularly scheduled arguing.
