Hello, i have two things to ask about the SK; first one, does the SK explosions count for code of combat? Second, can the silent king receive the light cover using the command protocols (can he using a terrain?)?
Thank you.

Code of Combat says that you get point "for each enemy unit that was destroyed by a NECRONS NOBLE". You are asking if it counts when a unit dies to his death explosion? It sounds pretty weird and I'm sure that people could argue against it but I reckon that you should still get the points.

I'm not familiar enough with Necrons to know who can be affected by command protocols or whether the Silent King is disqualified due to being a dynastic agent. However, assuming that he can be affected by it, the command protocol says that if he didn't move then he gains the benefit of light cover. Nothing in the light cover rule says that superheavies or units with lots of wounds can't get that.

Destroying an enemy unit due to your own unit exploding would count. It was definitely destroyed by the right unit!

COMMAND PROTOCOLS
If every unit from your army (excluding DYNASTIC AGENT, C’TAN SHARD and UNALIGNED units) is from the same dynasty, and you select a NOBLE model to be your WARLORD, this unit is eligible to benefit from this ability and the following rules apply.

Is TSK a NOBLE and your warlord ? Yes, he is. He must be your warlord, when he is in your army. And is every unit from your army from the same dynasty (excluding TSK because he is a DYNASTIC AGENT) ? If yes, you can use command protocols.

At the start of each battle round, if any NOBLE units from your army are on the battlefield, the command protocol that you assigned to that battle round becomes active for your army until the end of that battle round. Each command protocol is made up of two directives. When a command protocol becomes active for your army, reveal it to your opponent and select one of its directives. Until the assigned command protocol stops being active, while a unit that is eligible to benefit from this ability is within 6" of a friendly NECRONS CHARACTER model (excluding C’TAN SHARD models), that unit benefits from the selected directive.

Is TSK within 6" of a friendly NECRONS CHARACTER ? Yes, because he himself is a NECRONS CHARACTER, and he is within 6" of himself.

1. Protocol of the Eternal Guardian
Directive 1: Each time an attack is made against this unit, if it did not make a Normal Move, Advance or Fall Back this battle round, this unit receives the benefit of Light Cover

TSK can benefit from this protocol, if it did not make a Normal Move, Advance or Fall Back this battle round.

I was sure you must be wrong about this so just checked, but I can't find anything! Looks like he does get them, as do Pretorians and other Dynastic Agents (not C'tan though). Furthermore, it looks like if you are playing one of the named dynasties, then these units get to benefit from both parts of that Dynasties favored protocol, despite not being from said dynasty.

Light cover, +1" move, +3" to Auras, +1S are all potentially very nice on the king.

I still feel like I'm missing something.

SK can definitely get the benefits from all those protocols, my doubt was about light cover and being a vehicle.
