I used to play Space Wolves in 5th edition. Took a break for many years. I came back to tyranids in 8th edition. With the release of the 9th Space Wolves codex I started collecting them again. It involved washing off the old paint. It was purple and orange. But I was not a good painter. Here are some of the pictures.

- Wold lord on wolf/jougernaught.

- Biker with powerfist. You see the purple colourschemes.

- A green stuffed wolf rider. They did not have a model back in 5th. I remember it as good. In these days I look back on it with a bit of dread. Like the ears though.

- This metal colored one I have no excuses for.

I ha a terminator librarian for a 5th edition Grey Knight, army that never went anywhere. So today I am happy to announce he is now a certified Njal Stormcaller. It only took four editions, but that is night school for you.

Here are some more pictures of the old army before I washed it.

In this last one I use Grønn såpe to wash them. (Green Soap). But I should have used Rød sprit (Red spirits.)

Here are my dreadnoughts. I had some spare dreadnoughts because I was in love with them in fifth. But I could never fit them in with only 3 elite sloths there.

Here I bought the parts I lacked online. In 9th edition I like them with the axe for 125 points as wulfen dreads. I know the claw shield with 2x flamer for 135 can be better. But I like how the axe has 2 different profiles.

The multimelta one is the assault on black reach.

Spent the Sunday morging further working on bases. Honestly it always takes so damn long. I did another method earlier, but I did not like how they looked. Now it is back to glue.

I try to have some skulls on all my bases. It is very 40K, and it is a base piece that is cheap and plentiful. 40K is quite sarcastic. I feel the skulls keeps enforcing this.

The earlier Njal. And some old Sky Claws. They where some of the first models I build. Their poses are not that good. I sliced of two guns to glue on two flamers. 110 points for five dudes that land and flame from reserves is playable. It might not be topp tier. But playing competitive leaves you with no opponents. But I just do not want to play very bad units. Skyclaws with flamers stay on the side of playable.

Further I have some bases for Wolf Guards with jump pack shield and claw. One redemptor Dreadnought base. The dreadnought is modefied a bit. I am quite happy with it.

I also made some cyber wolf's. Soul Blight Dire Wolves with most things greenstuffen shut. The few wounds remaining I am gonne do Terminator (1984) style.

Lastly, my othe redemptor dreadnought base was very flat. I tryed to make it more dynamic. It is one of the posabilaties with a big base, and I enjoy it.

But all of this basing really took far to long. Probably because I insist on removing the mold lines on the skulls.

If you ever feel the sudden urge to spend a lot of time making fancy bases. Do not do it. It is not worth it.

I like the bases though.

I got my hands on 2 copies of Indomitus a bit cheap. As a SW player I am never going to run 2 Outrider units. The fast attack slot is just to contested. And I am never going to run a primaris Chaplain on foot. Lett alone 2.

Therefore I can do what I always wanted! Kitbash and Akira Chaplain. I have always wanted to do it. I realize afterwards of course that the primaris Chaplain on bike probably is better suited for it since his legs are easier to pose. Also, should I do it again I would have put the arm with the weapon on the oppsett side. As it is then easier to see the leg. However, it enforces that line now also, so it is not all bad. (In the clone wars animated series kenoby copies the slide but holds it in the other arm.)

Anyway. Here it is. Peace meal. And then the finished project. There are so many parts I am happy about. The pose. And the black turned out OK (I have never worked with black before. I decided to use contrast paints.) I am also super happy with the hair on the head. As the original head does not have hair.

The book I think is from an old forge world kit of some sort. I had it on my never finished psyker on bike but those are legend, so he will not miss it.

I am happy how these came out.

Shout out to that awesome SW blog during 5th edition where I learned the (then) chaos warriors kitbash. I do not remember who wrote that blog, and it is no longer around. But it was awesome.

Looking forward to finishing these 2 groups of wolf guards.

Always tough to redo an army. I did a different paint theme with my Necrons. Though it wasn't a complete repaint and It has taken me over a year to get to where I am.

Love the dreads, always my favorite concept in 40K. Bases are very nice. Love the Chaplin repaint.

Thank you. I should point out that the Chaplain is not repainted, as Primaris Chaplain on bike was not a 5th edition thing.

I did my Wolf Guards with jump pack and storm shield. Honestly I put so much work into them. And I am not shure how happy I am with them. But oh well.

Since I made ten of them five of them should have red cloaks and blood and bone themed helmets. These where my big let down. But they are OK.

Here are the others. I like this better. Although cyvereye over here looks a bit bland. And the leaders (with big shield) in both groups I need to give boss pole. But I am so tired of these I want to switch gears for a while.

I think you did a really good job with them. They have a very ...shamanistic? appearance. (Not sure if that's the right word) Anyway they look like they're steeped in deep and mysterious tradition. Perfect for space wolves.

Thank you Brushcommando. After having putting it a bit behind me I am much more happy with it.

All work an no play makes Jack a dull boy. So I am taking these 2000 points for a spinn tomorrow. Warius stages of painting. But it is growing on me. (I have a lot of models, and I like to change between them.)

Did not have time to finish the game today, sadly. (My opponent is pleasant but notriusly slow.) While sleeping I kept pondering how I could get re rolls for my dreadnoughts plasma when I understood that I could just take Bjorn and bingo bongo. The rest was the same.

In the picture is end of my opponents movement phase turn 2. The gorkanaught came down and ready to charge Bjørn. Thankfully he failed the charge. (9" on 3d6 twice. Lucky.) Because of this I was stil in the game. I had more points and I was getting my turn. But it is no good way to say how the game would have gone. Pitty I could not finish it.

On a different note the multi melta bikes did not do that much. 120 points that could. Probably go elsewhere.

I needed a primaris psyker. I have some old bits laying around. A primaris sergant that I would never use. (I have the Indometus one, and the SW one and I see no reason not to pay some points to upgrade it.) So use what you have, that is a good moto.

I had a spare spear from the dominus Aos package. That can work. Drill out the hand. Atta h a SW sword to the spear tip.

Head is inspired from the Diablo 3 Witch Doctor. It should be distinct enough that people do not assosiate him with a sergant.

The backpack was meant for a Wolf Lord. But I already have 1 on bike and 1 on wolf. If I take one in foot it will be a primaris one.

Well the general army is coming along. I can focus on less important units a bit more.

Look who I found in the addict. In my old colourschemes. (Although I have cleaned some mold lines. Aparantly I used green stuff as glue some places?)

Did you know the fifth edition codex claimed that if you left a roasted elk as an offering the landraider will eat it over night? True Story.

It's alive!

So I wanted to make a Odin inspired helmet. Half SW helmet and half an age of sigmar helmet. The head is a bit small si I need the SW helmet to balance it.

The wings are inspired by the BA wings. Except I use dragon wings instead of angel. The hands have nice thunder symbol.

I orderen some other leggs in the mail. They are more dynamic. I hope it ends up looking a bit more different like it is now. I might need to pose him more dynamic.

Currently it could go both ways.

Anyway, looking forward to having a jump captain with double frost claws.

More washing. No need to start on new spruced when I have so many old models in bad paint. I have 3 sets of unused spruced. Meaning I have 15 models with new potensial. But I need to reuse these old once first. Perhaps if I do not find any models that can fit for wolf guards or long fangs.

An impressive pile of reclaimed plastic. Are you trying to get full squads from it or just add models to existing squads?

Bergen

Thank you. Hopefully I can inspire somebody who wants to do a similar project. Almost all power Armour units, vehicles and old dread noughts are reclaimed through washing or repainting. (That leaves redemptor dreads, thunder wolves, and primaris models.)

All the once you see in these 3 pictures are liberated from old paint. What triggered this last batch of paint was that I needed long fangs. I stil needed 6 bodies. I figured now that I discovered it was easier to strip paint with rødsprit I could just take all models at the same time. I will order some multi meltas from FW and put on them. Perhaps some wolf guards or company veterans. (Wolf guards can go in a landraider. And company veterans have the same colour patterns and rules but can be taken I groups of four. Riding in drop pods or rhinoes with long fangs.)

I also have a bag of 11 or 13 second edition marines. I stil have some in my armies for fun. But they are just to ugly to field them all as grey hunters. (Can be seen in the bag.)

It's been a while since I last posted. A lott of work. And I have been in a heavy converting and tedious painting. Here is MySpace a wolf primaris wolf lord. I like how he turned out but I am a biiiit sceptical to the balance on his sword. And I would like to make the leftmost decal on the shield flow a bit more in the wind.

Other things I have been working one.

The last redemptor Dreadnought.

Some long fangs. (Waiting for some more weapons for squad 2.)

A whirlwind.

A razorback.

5 more blood claws.

Chaplain in terminator armour.

And lastly... Drum roll please... Some 10 wolf guards. The 4 on the right with hammers. I will be giving them magnets so they can have jump packs or ride in a landraider.
