Hi all,

So i have a stock of khorne daemons (40 bloodletters, the three Bloodthirsters, Skarbrand, Skulltaker, 9 bloodcrushers, Soul Drinker, Karanak, 15 Flesh hounds Slaughterbrute, daemon prince, skull altar ..) do you think an army of purely khorne daemons is playable in 40k ?

The goal would be to have fun in medium or big games and not being a waste of time for my opponent.

And is it possible to run crusade with it too ?

What books do i need exactly ?

Hey there!

On a tournament level, pure Khorne armies are not viable, so it will depend how your local meta plays out.

Your fellow gamers will have to accomodate for you most likely, even if they themselves have a more casual approach to list building.

My gut feeling is that you probably have to make a tournament list yourself, even if you are going up against a casual list, if that list is a 9th edition codex.

Crusade is possible with every faction, but for the time being, you are restricted to the "general Crusade stuff" from the core rulebook.

Sure. As with every army it depends on your playgroup, in a normal environment every army is playable, it's only in tournament settings where things can get onesided.
Crusade is also a good way to play, though your options are limited if you don't have an updated Codex. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like Daemons are close and GW is really lazy this edition in putting out FAQs for the factions waiting for their Codex.

It’s hard to build a TAC list with Khorne Daemons. They have great melee… and that’s about it. Not even especially durable melee.

I really hope that GW makes it better for all Daemons, so they can participate more as a TAC list.
