My oldest is wanting to try her hand at putting together a miniature and painting, I've got three armies and can always use something new

Now what makes this tougher is she's visually impaired. We'll be working underneath a CCTV and I'm wanting set her up for success. My first thought is something like a Repulsor as it seems like newer models have gotten both better with the directions and ease of putting them together.

I'll take a mini that isn't great on the field of battle but I'd really like one for Tyranid, Tau, or Space Wolf in that order.

For those that are interested, here's an example of what we'll be using:

Would something larger in general help? Perhaps going for Tyranid Warriors or Tau battle suits? They have some smaller parts, but the bulk of them are bigger than standard infantry. For marines, maybe a dreadnought or terminators?

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Ooooooo....

I would say tyranids. They have a huge variation on models. The colour scheme is also very customisable with washesh and dryburshes.

Space Wolves are all, legs, body, should pads, head, backpack and wepaon. But out of all the marines the SW is the worst to paint because they have so god damn many details.

Easiest marine to collect might be grey knights. Small model count. And they are grey.

But go with tyranids. A huge amount of different models. Gaunts are eays to assemble. Warirors are chunky. although there are a lot of mold lines on older models.

Perhaps start with a hive tyrant? Or Zoathropes.

In terms of assembling old style marines were easy. New ones have more of this piece has to go with this and no other slowing at least me.

But in terms of painting i would say tyranids are easiest. Organic shapes are more forgiving than flat surfaces of power armour and several easy painting techniques like wash and drybrush work well with tyranids. I imagine contrast paints work well as well. Marines tend to be about edge highlight that can be tricky enough to any new painter,
