WIP. Yellow Salamanders jump pack captain head. Trying a less time-consuming way of painting a half-decent yellow. Roughly:

(1.) Fulgrim Pink
(2.) Iyanden Yellow
(3.)-(6.) Yriel, Flash Gitz, Phallanx & Dorn Yellow. White Scar.

C&C welcome!

That's interesting, but I'm wondering why start off with a pink undercoat? To add a warmer hue?

The end product looks great BTW, I'm just not sure how important the pink basecoat is, especially if time is a main concern

:-)

Compared to when I painted yellow using a white undercoat, I save A LOT of time when using a pink undercoat instead. With a white undercoat, I had to paint roughly 5 times as many layers to achieve essentially the same yellow.

Thanks for the link, I've always got time for Goobertown

I painted my modern Space Crusade Imperial Fists in a similar fashion, but directly over a white undercoat. I was happy with the results, but if I had an airbrush I might try pink as a basecoat.
