The Silent Kings Triarchal Menhir rule states:

"While this unit contains any Triarchal Menhir models... each time an attack successfully wounds this unit, that attack must be allocated to one of those models.... If Szarekh is destroyed, any remaining Triarchal Menhirs are also destroyed"

My question is firstly, are there any sources of damage that this does not cover? i.e wounds from explosions or psychic powers? (what counts as an "attack"?).

Secondly, if there are sources of damage that this rule doesn't cover, and such damage is allocated to Szarekh, then what happens if damage is subsequently caused that is covered by this rule? Do you have to continue to allocate wounds to Szarekh (as per the normal rules), or does the Triarchal Menhir rule win out (causing you to have a unit with damage spread across two models)?

Anything that does not wound would not be covered, for example. Psychic powers causing mortal wounds are not, I believe, attacks (first condition) nor do they wound (second ) and so would bypass this entirely.

To your second point - specific overrides general. Yes, you can have two models with wounds taken.

Thanks. That's how I understand it too. I wanted to see if anyone comes up with a reason why you can't do that.

It could be useful if someone throws a couple of smites at the king, and then shoots him, as both he and a Menhir could heal a wound back. It could be a bit risky against psychic heavy armies though, as they could keep piling on the mortals and bypass the Menhirs entirely.
