I'd love to see a Bethesda-style sandbox RPG set in the Star Trek universe, around the Next Gen/DS9/Voyager era. Your character can travel around many iconic locations such as Deep Space Nine and the Starfleet academy, join various factions (Starfleet, the Maquis, the Klingon empire, Section 31, etc.), and even acquire their own ship and crew. In keeping with Star Trek's optimistic themes, there should be various means of solving problems via diplomacy or science instead of violence, though violence is also an option.

Mount and Blade - DRAGON Edition

That says it all really, you're a dragon in a fully open living world setting. Where the AI will play out various kingdoms and fiefdoms and more. Each one with its own quirks and favours and each one liable to make peace or wage wars on each other. Over the top of that throw in dragons who have territories of their own and who might overlap those of the mortals and other races.

You can be a lone dragon building a powerful hoard of treasure that you protect; or use politics or conquest to take command/influence of one of the various lesser races. Commanding them to conquer more territory in your name and offer up their treasures; lending aid to them in vast battles as you see fit.

Then add in a passage of time system so that you basically see civilizations rise and fall whilst you last out the ages.

Open-world Pokemon game based on the Breath of the Wild game engine and art style.

Make it VERY CLEAR to players up front that in terms of scope it's going to be limited to the fan-favorites, its not going to have all 100 billion pokemon from all 17 generations, it's not going to have all 9000 available moves, but what it will have is a "Total War: Warhammer" style release schedule where we will make new games that you can purchase for full game price and, if you want, staple to your existing game (or at the very least import your character from game to game)

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Ok, first person combat game, but set in gorkamorka. I’m thinking basically 8v8ish skirmishes that at least start on vehicles, no classes but there’s a slot based loadout system (slugga takes up 4 squares, a shoota is like 8). I guess rebel grits would have you playing two grots tied together

Hiding behind terrain

I'd pitch a game where you take down the AAA gaming industry with a team of bootleg heros based on popular IPs but changed just enough to avoid IP infringement claims who fight and kill said IPs said characters ruining the plans of the AAA gaming companies who have a evil organization that you ruin the plans of episodically like a 80's or 90s cartoon.

It would probably be one of the most bat gak crazy things the world has ever seen but alas I can't make it and the world will never know what its missing.

I'd create an open world crafting and settlement game set in the early medieval period, where you can build up the settlement from scratch. I wouldn't necessarily need enemies but I'd enjoy myself.

Also I'd like a Destiny MMO with the fantastic gunplay but for 40k.

This. . . the idea I would LOVE to have available is a sort of "trophy" system as well. Basically, an item slot where you could display a mark or icon, right?? So, your relationship with a given settlement may change if you're displaying a mark of Khorne vs wearing an icon of sigmar worship, etc. With options similar to Skyrim's werewolf/vampire infections for going full nurgle, or full tzeentch, etc.

I basically want Mount and Blade: Warhammer. There was an old mod for the original a long time ago. Janky, but it showed promise. Add a bunch of Skyrim level quest interactions as well as the warband pitched battle stuff.

In theory. The Necromunda Underhive Wars took the basic X-com formula and made an utter mess out of it, with a predictably bad UI after Mordheim, and made a complete atrocity of skills and weapons.
I've never seen someone take a reasonable tabletop ruleset and make it so bizarrely convoluted and obfuscated and yet utterly pointless.

---
My pick: I'd want a remake or reboot of Ultima 4 or 7 as a modern isometric RPG.
Or something similar to them- a 'typical' fantasy world focused on positive moral philosophy rather than pure face-stabbing under divine edicts of good=white hat, evil = black hat (or the horrible D&D alignments).

Yeah. Maybe even cooler if you could shapeshift into a humanoid form too, or had that as an option. So you could manipulate the mortals from within as well as without.

That would be great - Open World Shadowrun would be as cool as Open World Warhammer could be but who would trust CDPR to get it right this time?

The current Cyberpunk lacks so much - although the very pretty but empty city does reflect the "style over substance" tag, the fact you can only play a streetkid and not an actual corporate, the police Ai - the fact that everyone in this oh so dangerous city cowers or runs away from you...and mainly the big problem (for me) that the game is all about Mr Reeves character not yours.

Gve me the opportunity to go after my former bosses at Arasaka either inside the corporation or with Meredith and Militech

Mutating Changebringer

New Hampshire, USA

A galaxy declares peace after a millennia long conflict. As a peace agreement all races toss all war material and equipment into an artificial gravity well. The ball of weapons and vehicles is so large it becomes a planet.
The planet is given an AI to protect it and prevent anyone from stealing back war material.

In the game you would play as a "Spark", a small ball of energy that is part of the AI defence group.
You choose your type and color (your type being the source element you depict graphically and the color just looks cool).
So some players would be balls of blue flame while others might be balls of red electricity or yellow smoke.
The point of the gane is to complete missions to lvl up and gain more "spark points" which are more hard points on your "body" to design your physical shape.
The "sparks" are the skeleton or frame you build your character with. You build your character by combining pieces of the environment into your characters frame. The higher your level the heavy the objects you can use to construct yourself.

A new players would be a little ball of energy that sucks up nuts and bolts to toss at enemies. A top level player might look like a giant centipede made of aircraft carriers and landmines.

Players work together to stop aliens from raiding and looting the gear.
When players battle each other they smash apart and can rebuilt any of their saved froms with the click of a button.

The fun in the game would be to find cool parts and gear to design how you look and fight. With the knowledge that other players can't actually destroy you or rob you of anything.
That way if you are a new low level player and get stepped on by some titanic god player you can just "rebuild" in a second and continue questing.

Make a damn Star Wars action-RPG with a pseudo open world environment where you start off as a Jedi Padawan. I can't believe the only Star Wars RPGs ever made were KotOR I and II. The first one is a beloved classic and the second is a cult hit at worst. The only genuine issue I see with making such a game is the story since Disney has apparently decided to make everything they release canon outside of that series of anime episodes. IMO, reboot the KotOR Old Republic era, but don't have the MC be Revan OR do a Clone Wars era story that ends up with MC going into the unknown regions instead of another Order 66-focused story.

You begin as a Padawan in the before the Clone Wars, spend some time as a Knight during the Clone Wars (and can return to those zones for side quests) that discovers a McGuffin that leads them into the Unknown Regions/Wild Space. It could even be something as generic as a Sith or Dark Side cult forming and preparing to join the war as they sense Palpatine's growing power.

The only way we can ever solve anything is to look in the mirror and find no enemy
