As the title states, when rolling multiple damage rolls, do you do them one at a time or all together?

Let me give you some context...

I had to roll 3 D3 damage rolls when in combat for my unit of wraithblades.

My opponent had a model left on one wound remaining and would get no save because the attacks are AP3.

I have always played this as rolling them one at a time, but he told me to roll them all together so that he could allocate the damages as he saw fit.

I.e. allocating a damage roll of 3 to the model with one wound remaining and then hoping for bad rolls on the others.

Both approaches make sense to me so i was happy to go with his request as i wasn't sure, but would be good to get some clarification.

Damage rolls are made one at a time. If not, your opponent can allocate them in a way that damage is lost. RAW, you cannot fast roll damage.

Technically every attack is resolved one at a time. Fast rolling is only allowed if all dice are equal. And d3 damage is not all equal since the dice will do between 1-3 damage. So you should not be fast rolling them.

Fast rolling damage is never allowed.

To be specific, the rules do not allow for fast rolling of Saves or Damage. Therefore, the proper way is to roll the Damage rolls one at a time and resolve in the order rolled.

However in the real world when you have 50 saves to make and their all 1w 3+ it doesn't matter

You fast roll them up to the D part then resolve that 1 at a time

People may play it that way, but that is a house rule as the only things you can fast roll for are to hit and to wound rolls per the RAW.

Your opponent was wrong-you'd roll the Damage one at a time.
