E.g., my favorite movie as a kid could be described this way: In response to his investors' concerns in the wake of a workplace accident, a businessman hires a team of consultants to perform a safety assessment of his upcoming tourist attraction.

I'm talking, of course, about Jurassic Park.

It was only recently that I came to realise that, despite being played as the comic relief/semi-villain, the lawyer, Genaro, is actually the good guy.

A university professor must reconnect with his estranged father in order to help the latter finish the obsessive research that drove them apart in the first place.

A rewatch as an adult gives you a whole new perspective on the characters, doesn't it?

Gennaro's only crime was having a stick up his ass, but that's literally the job he was hired to do.
Hammond straight-up bribes Grant and Sattler by offering to fund their dinosaur dig if they go have a look at his park and endorse it.
Nedry only betrayed Hammond because Hammond was underpaying him for his critical work. "Spared no expense", my ass.
As for Malcolm, he does virtually nothing aside from looking cool, spouting a few memorable lines and indirectly getting Gennaro killed.

The first two guesses are correct. The third movie is live action….sort of. The remaining two are both genre films, if that helps.
