I mainly play Custodes and was wondering what people think our new book in December might bring? I'm honestly hoping for some decent points changes we really need more models on the board, but knowing GWS that gak is going up and we're gonna field LESS models. As of right now the Champion we're getting it is just kinda...meh? He's definitely strong, but i KNOW he's going to be expensive and without aura's n gak he's not worth it. So, when/if the great nerfbat hits the Bananamen i'm looking to go somewhere else while making them my secondary army. Right now i got a decent Ad-Mech army, but after recent nerfs and due to a large influx of them in my local area i side lined them for now. So, here's the armies i'm thinking about fielding - be MINDFUL that i'm not just in it for power, but also fun and i picked these armies because i like the models and lore. BUT if anyone has more information on how these armies are in the current meta that would help too!
1. Tyranids - I like the idea of running 2-3 carnifex's as i like the models (i also realize their not that GREAT atm) and Old One Eye rest of it idk yet, but i know i want a blob or 2 of genestealers.
2. Deathwatch OR Lamenters - I like Elite armies and Deathwatch seem to play like Custodes and Lamenters....in all honesty their my favorite lore faction and i'd probably build them with a 6 squad of the sword and board elite dudes (can't remember name atm).
3. CSM - Idk they always feel like the army that gets shafted the most , but i REALLY like the models and am a big fan of Obliterators and Forgefiends and wouldn't mind running a Black Legion army, but i'll take any recommendations into consideration.
4. Astra Militarum - Krieg - I hate that their forgeworld, but i fething LOVE their lore and aesthetic, but the amount of models and the $$$$ for em REALLY puts me off buying em - I do also like Tempustus Scions.

Warp-Screaming Noise Marine

Chaos space marines seem to get shafted the most because a) we bitch and moan louder and more than any other group and b) any unit that has an equivalent in the space marine codex is decidedly a worse version of the space marine equivalent. I personally am saltiest about the fact that bike lords are legends, but loyalists got to keep their bike captains.
I would argue that some Xenos get shafted more (I’m looking at you finecrap Eldar army). The nice thing about chaos space marines is that “early 2022” is when we finally get our codex. The good news is that Slaanesh marked obliterators are quite playable, and that master of possession that comes with the obliterators synergizes well with both maulerfiends and obliterators. The bad news is that chaos in general is in a rough spot and subject to warp knows what changes.

The worse news is that maulerfiends will probably outpace your master of possession...
