With all the new Necron core keywords, did the monolith get better? Eternaty gate can be cool. Pull stuff out and charge with them?

No.

It still suffers from being a LoW without an invuln. That plus it's huge footprint, lack of fly, and inability to benefit from obscuring mean it dies in one turn of shooting pretty easily. For non-competitive games it's fun and thematic, but I doubt you'll see them pop up at GTs

It just needs quantum shielding rule to be competitive though.

It did get better, but it's still not good enough to run if you're looking to be competitive.

It's still too big, too slow, no fly, no dynasty, too easy to kill, costs cp, and too expensive.

It's main issue is still it's durability, points and lack of fly. It literally cannot get out of the deployment zone of a lot of maps due to it's size and lack of fly.

It might sound like Necratechs Translocation Beam could solve some of that. Move+6 on an advance and you ignore terrain. Also a 6++.

But lords of war do not get it.

The Monolith will continue to be bad unless it gets Fly (or some ludicrous points drop). It's a massive model that can't move properly on any reasonably set-up board. The fact it lacks an Invulnerable is just the icing on the cake.

Am I understanding correctly that the monolith's super heavy aux detachment is only 1 CP now, with the "Same Faction Bonus" from CA2021? Assuming its the same faction as your warlord?
