Hello guys!

Next year will see the arrival of the above game. I am still playing WWE 2K18 to this day and I am wondering, if there will be improvements in the following category in the new game:

Creation Mode.

I have created two dozen custom wrestlers from scratch in WWE 2K18 which includes, appearance, attire, skills, behaviour, move sets, entrance, etc. along with custom belts and arenas. So my focus is on creating stuff while any new content regarding "real" wrestlers doesn´t interest me in the slightest.

Proper improvements would be the following imo:
- More items in the attire section.
- Improved mechanics to alter appearances.
- Better hair physics.
- More variable entrances for single wrestlers & Tag-Teams of female gender.
- More entrance music themes.
- Royal Rumble available for Female wrestlers.
- Maybe even intergender matches.

I tried to look on youtube for news about that but couldn´t find anything.

They are never going to allow intergender matches again. It just takes one viral gameplay video of Omos beating on Zelina Vega and then WWE will have a ton of negative publicity about how they glamourise violence against women.

I messed around quite a bit with the create modes in 2k19 and one notable absence was editable crown signs. It would be easy to add sign customisation using the existing tools, or they could just allow custom image files. More names that the ring announcer can say would also be really good.

I agree that all match types should be available for female wrestlers. They used to not allow first blood matches for them either, but that is another thing that they might just remove entirely.

More attires, moves and other customisation options are always going to be good. The one thing they can't really add is entrance music - they have legal hoops to jump through to add music (or any reference) for anyone who isn't currently on roster, and it doesn't make sense to spend all of the time that it takes to record more than a handful of generic tracks.

Ooh. I might have received a WWE game from a humble choice some time ago.

How much choice is there in the character creator? I’d be keen on unleashing the power of Ned Flanders to decimate Ric Flair.

A couple of years ago there was an intergender match in a main event:
Kurt Angle & Rhonda Rousey vs. HHH & Stephanie McMahon.
So they can´t play the violence card when they were comfortable beating women on TV on their own.

I would be more than happy to have a ton of generic tracks as I don´t care for music linked to a real wrestler. Makes creating new wrestlers easier when the music fits the gimmick.
My custom roster is mostly made up of female Tag-Teams. Problem is that there is a SINGLE entrance motion for female Tag-Team wrestlers. To avoid the incredible dull presentation all but one team needs to enter the arena separately. So I need to either have more entrances for Tag-Teams or single wrestlers.

Yes, more names is also a good one. I tend to avoid naming wrestlers with names which the announcer hasn´t learned to speak.

But I fear the emphasis of the game will be only on graphics, real wrestlers and the career mode.

I have 2k19 on PC which I enjoy a lot, partly due to the ability to mod it such as inserting different music for entrances (replacing the generic tracks that I'll never use).

I skipped 2k20 for obvious reasons and am very wary of 2k22, I can't imagine what the endless releases will have done to the morale of the developers as I doubt WWE wants people like Daniel Bryan, Bray Wyatt etc. in their video game when they have left the company and in some cases joined with a competitor. So how much development time has been spent on stuff which then had to be scrapped when WWE fired a particular wrestler? Plus there were the incredibly dumb changes made in 2k20 such as the changes to the control scheme. If they carry on with that control scheme then I'll give it a skip as it made no sense to me to make the changes they did.

I'll probably wait and see how the AEW game currently in development shakes out. Hopefully it does something new with the gameplay to distance itself from the WWE 2k series. Plus there's the possibility of Owen Hart being in it.

The Laws of Thermodynamics:
1) You cannot win. 2) You cannot break even. 3) You cannot stop playing the game.

I only own WWE 2k18 and not any of it´s predecessors. So I can´t compare, if the content has increased or decreased from prior editions. However I must say that in 2K18 you can play with a lot of parameters:

- Height
- Weight
- Body Type
- Muscularity
- Face (very detailed)
- Skin colour (outlandish colours are also possible such as green or blue skin)
- Scars, Wrinkles, Logos & Tattoos
- Hair styles (hair physics are dated)
- Fingernails
