Hi Folks, I've been working on a wolfspear army, and I wanted to share my progress so far, and future progress.

I started with an Invictor Warsuit, and a unit of Reivers/Hounds of Morkai I was gifted, and a phobos Captain I made from some spare parts.

My first test model

and then my Invictor Warsuit, and captain I did afterwards.

Recently, I sold a collection of miniatures I wasn't using, and used that to pick up a couple reinforcements (lol).

With this, I started building models lol.

Finished my Hounds of Morkai squad, and played my first 1000pt game with the models I've finished so far. Now I've got to catch up on painting, before building more plastic lol.

Anyway, this is where I am at so far, I'll keep updated with future progress. Current project is painting an infiltrator squad, an eliminator squad, and a LT I have primed.

You’re really cranking out these boys! Is it mostly contrast you’re using? It’s a lovely grey you’ve chosen, what colour is it?

Thanks man!

Yeah, for the most part, everything is contrast with an edge highlight or two.

The grey, is apothecary white over grey seer, with an edge highlight of ulthan grey.

Ooh, nice flipping of the colours for the speeder, it works really well. Are Wolfspear the Primaris only Successors of Space Wolves or are they a Great Company?

Thanks man, I had some trouble deciding how to split the colours on this model, but I'm happy with the way it turned out.

The Wolfspears are an Ultima Founding successor of the Space Wolves. They are a fleet based chapter, with only 7 companies (called Jarldoms), which all mostly act independently. You can read about them here https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Wolfspear

Another update. Stormspeeder is almost done, just gotta finish the base, a buddy 3D printed a base for me, but it was a little small (80mm instead of 90MM), but mostly fits. Hard to photograph. Also, started on some eliminators and Incursors.

Very nice, cool little conversion on the librarian so he's got a gun
In fact, thanks to your pictures, I noticed that I had forgotten to add the butt book to mine...

Thanks man! The cloaks are pretty easy. It's snakebite Leather contrast over Grey Seer, with a highlight of zandri dust.

Thank you very much, I'm really enjoying the colour scheme, and it's a joy to paint.

Thanks! Yeah, I didn't really like him touching his head, I wanted a bit more of an exciting pose. I almost forgot about the book too, until I saw it left on the spruce. I guess all librarians need a book somewhere.

Small update, been working on a squad of Incursors, only have 32 infantry to paint after these guys are done.

My plan for my 2000pts list is the following.

Phobos cap (done)
Phobos Librarian (done)
phobos lt (Primed)

x3 invictor warsuits (1/3 done, 2/3 unbuilt)
x2 hounds of morkai squads (1 done, 1 unprimed)

x3 incursor squads (0 done, 2 primed)
x2 infiltrator squads (1 done, 1 unprimed)

x1 stormspeed thunderstrike (1/1 done)

x3 eliminator squads (1 done, 2 primed)

Hey folks, small update.

Finished my incursors, which is exciting. Also, I'm very excited about the news from Warhammer Community today as that is my army! (minus the speeder...)

Also, I took some better pictures of some of the other units.

Hey folks, been busy the last month, so painting has been slow. But, I finished my second unit of infiltrators, and my LT in phobos armour.

Here is the whole painted group together now.

Today I'm bringing out the whole 2k (including the 23 unpainted models shame I know), for their first game. Excited to start getting the feel for them on the table.

Thank you! It's mostly contrast, so quick and easy to do (my favourite way of painting).

thank you very much!

Had my first game today, Forgive the pictures, my buddy just finished building his army so it's a sea of grey. Play agaisnt Genestealer Cults. Made some horrible deployment mistakes, but fought back pretty well. Lost 60ish to 90sih, so not bad considering how badly I messed up lol.

I was pretty happy with my list. My Librarian with the Armour of Russ, and my Hounds of Morkai were the MVP's for sure. Genestealer cults just had a lot of multi-damage attacks, and lots of bonuses to hit/wound and re-rolls, it was pretty crazy how devastating their shooting was. looking forward to getting in my practice.

Hi friends, small progress today.

I bought a third box of las-fusil eliminators (no pictures), which I think will be good fire support. Also, I built and painted a new Phobos Wolfguard.

Looking like I might want play that new Vanguard-Spearhead army of renown, but I can't use my stormspeeder. What do you folks think would be a good way to replace that 160pts? I'm thinking a unit of supressors, and then 60pts of just extra hounds of morkai or infiltrators. Not sure though.

Played my second game with the Wolfspears against Aledari on the weekend. He was new to the book, it was a good practice for getting the army out. My opponent misinterpreted one of his abilities, which had a huge effect on the results of the game, and we didn't realize until afterwards, so we decided not to count it as a win for either of us. It was certainly very fun deploying models all over the board, and then re-deploying with Lords of Deceit. The Captain in Gravis armour was fun to use. With Hunter, he moved 5", advanced d6+2" and then could charge 2d6+2", so he was very fast.

Besides that, I finished my Invictor warsuits. Just have 5 more Reivers, and 3 Eliminators to finish.

Nice action shots of the game! The war suit came out really well. The flow of the contrast paint gave some nice tones to the plates in places
