For those of us that do that thing, what gaming goodies did you get this year?

I got 2 gaming related items-

Some buildings for classic battletech-

And a scifi hover stugg i am going to use as a mini for DUST 1947 to represent the laser tank destroyer-

oh, some classics there. i used to have one of those old armor cast warhounds. out FLGS has a few on display still, an old baneblade (it is so small), an eldar scorpion, and a couple of big tyranids.

Platuan4th - at epic scale I think those are the best design for warhounds - the heads were the most wolfy

As for myself I picked up a few Infinity gifts this year!

The Shrouded (Boarding Shotgun)
Shasvastii Cadmus (Hacker) - which is awaiting a misspack filing as it came without any arms or backpack
Raicho Armored Brigade - which is a huge chunk of solid metal!
The RPG book for the Combined Army

So a nice selection of metal to clean up!

I got a Voidraven Bomber & a Razorwing Fighter!

I was surprised.
Because I hadn't mentioned these to anyone & no one who's buying me Christmas gifts knows (or cares) one bit about 40k, so things like this just don't come up in conversation. Not even when we say something like "Give me a few Christmas ideas."
Turns out I'd added them to my Amazon wish list instead of the shopping list at some point.
And my cousin? He figured "Spaceship models" for Christmas was better than yet another pair of jeans or such....

A box of nice new Stone Trolls from a friend of mine. As I opened it I told the rest of my friends that they could look forward to fighting them in games of Quest. They were excited*.

No hobby stuff for me. Couple of board games. I am grabbing an old camera from my dad which is better then what I was using, so hopefully my photography will improve.

I often regret helping the newbies make good lists for our retro 5th ed games. As in getting my butt handed to me when i fight them

But it is a good bit of fun even being on the wrong end of that.

There's 2 of them out in the market Papsikles and Print Minis - and interestingly both are in their respective welcome packs on their patreons (for stls).

IF you want the STL its likely best to get it as part of the patreon (for either one) as they are in the welcome packs. Otherwise you'll have to find the name of the model and hit up etsy or such to see if you can find a legitimate seller of the models if you want to buy them as models as opposed to stl.

Yeah, i was after the dreamforge one as well. sad to see what happened to them.

If you don't have a 3d printer there are several print services on etsy that can print them out for you.

It is actually a pretty nice mini. the main body comes in 5 sections-main hull front/back, side sections that house the engine thrusters and the main crew compartment that sits on top. There is a bit of sanding and some gap filling between the front/rear hull sections but otherwise it is a really great kit. comes with side skirts as well (not shown). the main guns slot in nicely and are easy to swap out.

Decided to get back into wargaming for the new year, so I used my Christmas money (and then some) to buy every Primaris marine kit I didn't already own from the big starter boxes to do a new Ultramarines army. It was a lot, since I only have the marines from Indomitus, Shadowspear, and the 8th Edition starter.

I even bought the Forgeworld Astraeus. :
