This is the ongoing thread for a website I've started which aims to collect and display the monthly releases of models for 3D printers from a whole range of designers. As such I aim to updated it periodically with new releases, previews, articles on 3D printing and more!

I also hope this thread can be a general hub and talking point for any into 3D printing (or those looking to join) where we can chat about what we've seen/bought and printed.

For myself this month I've got a month without resin sadly so my actual printer is rather quiet, however the STLs being released this month have by no means stopped, nor has my eternal building of an impossible-to-ever-print backlog (its worse than a painting and building backlog). #

Big thing this month for me has been Mini Monster Mayhem who has redone several of his models with updated supports and design features (eg revised wings) as well as providing some totally new poses - as well as his first flying whilst flaming pose for a dragon which is seriously awesome (I predict now GW has done it, we will see a stream of designers release their own flying dragons over the coming months).
Spoiler:

Lord of the Print were also not going to be out done by GW and clearly keep some eye on them (despite not making models for their system at all) as this month they did - CRAB!

Spoiler:

And sharks, a LOT of sharks - a lot of really awesome land sharks and other fishes!

Nice I was wondering where to put this upcoming KS

Of particular interest to Dakka because it's AoS specific (Kharadron) terrain

Done a massive update of content for January and also several new Model Creators and started previews for February!

That said I'm still also looking on the fence for a few creators this month.

Runic Collectables https://www.patreon.com/runiccollectibles

A very new name having only started properly this month with a really awesome welcome pack of angels and now a full release which includes a really amazing looking wyvern!

Spoiler:

Looking at February I'm already really tempted by Labyrinths Amazon models! He's got his own thread here on dakka so I really recommend going there to check out previews of his stuff
https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/801067.page

I'm really taken with the style of models!

Clay Cyanide https://www.patreon.com/claycyanide

Clay always do this thing where they make one post and then edit in as they add things, so start of the month they hardly have anything and by the end everyone misses the legion of models they've designed! Feline warriors, wolves and succubus (on their Tribes page). They've done a lot of great stuff this month! I'm also pleased to see that on their news posts now they are naming the sculptors for each month which I think is a very nice touch as too many of the patreons that have multiple creators often don't mention their sculptors each month.

More news - a big boatload of previews for March!
I've also a modest bit about the situation in the Ukraine right now and how its affecting several creators who have made their own comments regarding the dire situation and war.

Thank Kyoto!

And in news the March Release post is all up! I've tried to keep this to show models when creators have actually released them to the market not just previewed them for release. It can be a little tricky as not every creator is good at making a "release is live" post, let alone a publicly visible one and there are a few now doing My Mini Factory access as default, so I don't see that happening at all if they don't make a public post.
https://printhunter.org/2022/03/05/march-releases-2022/

However the March Previews is still up and in general most creators that preview things, tend to release them. It's honestly very rare for a creator to just up and vanish without releasing what they've worked on.

In addition I've made a Twitter account (which sorely shows up my need for an icon and banner and such); which will act as a second place that you can follow updates on, not just on wordpress accounts. https://twitter.com/HunterPrint

And now onto a tiny number of highlights (which isn't anywhere near all of the shiny super awesome stuff!)

White Werewolf Tavern have done some seriously awesome monkey style models. These really are not normally a type of model that I enjoy, but they've really outdone themselves with capturing a more feral aspect to the designs and the faces are really great. As many of these are designed for 75mm the detailing is really well done, and yet they also print at 32mm typically very nicely.
https://www.patreon.com/whitewerewolftavern

Spoiler:

Vincie Miniatures have done some modular Plague Rats and they are one of the most detailed and customisable modular kits I've seen in a while. Lots of hands, heads, bodies and weapons to pick from.
https://www.patreon.com/vinciminiatures
Spoiler:

Lubart Miniatures are sorely tempting me with their Knights of Equitaine release. These are really beautiful looking models and really capture that "Knights of the Round Table" era style with all the thick, flowing fabric draped over the horses. There's a lovely old-school feel to the designs, but with a modern level of detail that resin can achieve
https://www.patreon.com/lubartminiatures

Spoiler:

Solwyte has also started a new big model project, which is looking to be at least 3 months long. This month are fully modular and high detail legs that stand 200mm tall on their own. Aiming for a warhound sized titan model! Torso is next month with weapons and such following after.
Plus she's got even more modular infantry up this month and is seriously improving at how she sculpts non-tanky things!
https://www.patreon.com/solwyte/

Spoiler:

Diverging Realm really needs a mention too as they've made some really awesome looking mechanical centaurs. I don't support them at present, but they are making it very hard to resist with the awesome looking battletank with multiple modular weapons as well.

Hmm strange - I know that a few of them are from "locked" public posts - eg the Solwyte but it seems that Blackfang can see them. It might just be downloading speed - some of the patreons release stupidly huge images (which is why I've started downloading and resizing them before uploading them to my site)

So I really like the pics you have of Solwyte’s stuff here, but I cannot see the pics on Patreon as they are set to members only. The legs in the first picture, are they part of a whole model for the month? Or is it spread out over a few months? I’d like to see more of his stuff, but there are so many Patreon that make all their posts member only viewing which is a big turn off for me.

Solwyte is a brand name change from a previous name and part of that move was to make more public posts - though I think this one got made private because they put their mmf discount code into the post as well.

The legs are all you get this month, the model is at least a 3 month plan. Legs this month, torso next month, weapons following after. Remember its titan sized in 32mm so those legs alone are around 200mm (give or take because it depends what pose you put them in).

Here's their MMF page which gives an idea of the kind of models they've produced before https://www.myminifactory.com/users/Solwyte

Thanks, I saw them on the Myminifactory right after I posted. I kind of figured it must be spread out over a few months as I saw the prices on their other "Titans".

March is still in full swing with a new post planned for tomorrow with updates and some sci-fi terrain stuff too.

However for today is the first of the April Previews!!!!

https://printhunter.org/previews-april-2022/

These, as always, range from concept art to early renders to fully finished renders and sculpts. Varies a lot creator to creator, but there's a wealth of fantastic models to tempt you. I strongly recommend checking out Realsteone's preview as if the render is true to the sculpt then its going to be one freaking awesome model - if also a bit of a resolution and printing stress test with the amount of high detail they've loaded onto it.

Lord of the Print are doing a second run of Dinotopia; Comet Lord has some rabbit monster thing! Piper Makes (Tau style models) is going nuts with modular drones on the ground and in the air (with magnetic attachment points). Labyrinth (who also have a thread on Dakka) are going to the high seas with sea Elves which are looking, as always from them, really great!
Last Sword have a lot coming with a high detail cannon and a dragon which is planned to have a rider and houdah atop.

A few sneak peaks

Thanks Theophony!

I like doing it, but time is indeed a problem, even if I had the money to hire someone to design a quicker input system into the back end of things. At some stage I'll likely have to find some way to have it turn some income, though I think first I've got to get way way more users before that would be worth even looking into

A bumper news post has gone up with a huge host of sci-fi themed model creators being shown off. In addition previews for April are going up and there's still many releasing new models and adding to existing releases during March

There's a LOT of Adpeticus Titanicus and 40K styled stuff in there along with a bunch of corridor terrain sets which are ideal for re-creating alien, space hulk, zombir or any other kind of horror of being trapped with too little space against all odds.

Out of interest, are we at Modiphius allowed to feature at all?

We have a monthly release cycle of 3D printing terrain for Fallout (with a tiny but planned to grow range for The Elder Scrolls also).

I'm keen to get it in front of as many people as possible as the more folks that use the service, the more I can do as a result.

Not sure on the whole indie vs not indie at the 3D printing level as its such as new playing field.

I don't really have any strict guidelines, though in general its more SLA (liquid resin) over FDM focused; though a lot of high quality terrain and big models do lean right into FDM and nothing stops you printing on either system once you've got the STL.

The only real bias is that I tend to favour patreon at present because I get an easy constant news feed; though even then I heavily rely on public posts for getting the information. So there's a few that slip the net because their public posts are few and far between unless I'm backing them.

Please do drop a link to your stuff - heck one of the reasons I started this was to try and keep an eye on stuff that wasn't released through tribes/patreon.

More news more updates!

https://printhunter.org/2022/03/21/model-news-21-03-2022/

Several new creators on the news page now, one totally brand new to doing a patreon and making some very nice big models (a couple of which are free on their MMF store).

In addition there's a big 50% sale code for Nikola Roglic, who makes some fantastic dinosaur and animal models.

Plus a good chunk of new models added to existing releases, including Makers Cult, Empire Miniatures and Becca 3D. Atlan Forge have also added a fantastic dreadnought with a corrupted edge to it.

Ok, seems I'm greenlit to post.

Over at Modiphius we have been trialling 3D printing assets for some time, though the programme has shaped up recently as I took the reins and made sure our offerings were as customer friendly as possible.

I believe we are currently the only company offering STL files for licenced IP lines, with terrain sets for both Fallout and The Eldar Scrolls.

Anything released since the Nuka World sets comes pre-supported (unsupported is also included for those who like to tinker) and I've gone back and updated about half of the older sets, with more being added as I get them sorted.

The sets are all designed to work with resin printers, though some folks have tried printing with filament and are getting decent results on the larger sets.

We aim to have at least one new set every month, though some months are heavier.

You can check out the whole Fallout range here: https://www.modiphius.net/collections/fallout-wasteland-warfare/fallout_3d-print?sort_by=created-descending
The Eldar Scrolls terrain is limited right now, but more will follow in time.

Sets are also available from either DriveThruRPG or MyMiniFactory for those who like to keep there purchases centralised.

So, if you play Wasteland Warfare or just want some cool post apocalyptic terrain that is setup and ready to print I hope this is of interest.

Cheers.

When you say licenced do you mean that you've got an official OK from the licence holder to make and brand these releases?

Yes, we make and sell products using the Bethesda IP. So, these are 100% official (and approved by Bethesda) Fallout and The Eldar Scrolls products.
Same as all our resins.

I appreciate there are plenty of licenced printers for all manner of resin lines, I'm stating I think we are the first IP style game line that is offering STLs, but I may be wrong.

Not that it really matters, just something the boss is proud of as he thinks 3D printing has a big future to it.
