Hey, I did a test model in a scheme I think I’m going to do for my cult. I’m not sure what I want to do with the bases yet, any suggestions?
Let me know what you think, any C&C welcome.

Looks great.
I did all my bases on necromunda bases. I mad one exception to models that obviously where outside. (Mortar teams, ridgerunners.) But that works great.

I like the brightness of the orange/yellow vs. the drab greys and black. The little purple around the eyes lets us know he’s not just some run of the mill cultist, but destined for the greatness beyond the stars.
While thematically he seems like he belongs on an urban a/o rubble base, the color wheel tells me some green (or maybe teal) might be nice to have. You have orange/red/purple. You don’t need to go full grasslands basing, but maybe some tufts of fresh life, pushing through the rubble and concrete of an oppressive landscape, reaching for the sky and life.

Ah thanks guys. I like both suggestions for bases. Rusted metal bases do seem quite cool for these guys. What I could do is give it a post apoc kinda feel and go with both suggestions; rusty metal necromunda bases with some greenery growing between the cracks.

I like that color scheme!
Simple but reads well.
Ruined rust and greenery would be good color contrast to the yellow/gray for sure.

Go with rusted Necromunda mechanicum style bases with a liberal sprinkling of bright green mold growing over the metal.
Armaggedon Dust patches drybrushed with white then maybe a warpstone glow wash to complete the mold look?

Here’s a WIP of another model, this time more of a mutated guy to see how the chitinous skin comes out in a green-blue and purple.

Looks good, but different feel from the first guy. Much higher on then “I’m an alien hybrid” scale.
What does your purebred scheme look like? We know what the human side of the scale is, but what are you working towards?

Basically pretty much this new guy is how the Purestrains will look like, just… more Genestealery lol.
