I dont know whether those are all the cards, or not. All those factions shown in the picture dont have a 9th edition codex, yet. Maybe an indication that their codex is still far away from being released ? Some of those are pretty bad. You are most likely to get more points from other secondaries. Morale is not a big deal, so chaos daemons wont score much from malefic terror. The long war is identical to the one from SM. Very innovative. And for the emperor is so lame. You are better off with bring it down or no prisoners.

No Eldar/Harlequin one ? That doesn't smell good for an eventual double release Eldar/Chaos space Marines...

Or suggest it's right on corner so no need for get-you-by wd ones.

It does (I love that in an IK vs CK fight, the IK card can pretty much auto-generate 3 points a turn for most of the game and easily give up 0 points for the entire game to the CK card), but I'm a little more horrified by the daemons one. Kill enemies, but not too much, and hope for random rolls to get you a capped number of victory points each round.

The only reliable way to get points is to kill just enough models on 4 different units to force an auto-failed test (if its not an MSU or skew list that just won't ever)
Because the additional fleeing models aren't reliable enough to count on scoring, and there are multiple subfactions in the game that can just turn that off.

My White Dwarf arrived this morning. There's 23 of the cards...Progressive and Endgame objectives
The only ones that are faction specific from what I can see are:
Imperial Knights, Chaos Knights, Tyranids, Chaos Space Marines, Chaos Daemons, Astra Militarum

I meant that it might mean that the Eldar codex will come out with the upcoming battle box but not the Chaos Space marine one.

Our second wound might still be far away.

Chapter Approved, the book they sell, or Chapter Approved, the article series in White Dwarf, the magazine they sell?

Ha. Nice try. But my complaint wasn't about purchasing Chapter Approved, but more what Chapter Approved has devolved into.

Chapter Approved, for as long as I can remember, was about not only errata and FAQs but also adding more interesting ways to play the game, new army lists, quirky ideas, putting in new scenarios and generally enhancing the game experience. Now Chapter Approved is a sterile wasteland of tournament rules (and mostly reprinted core rules). The fun has gone from CA. The creativity. The narrative. It’s just all tournaments all the time. And you pay for points upgrades.

That's funny. I remember the sequence being:

- Put content like this in White Dwarf
- Compile the annual content into Chapter Approved

Although I really think it's bizarre that you're trying to say that putting it in Chapter Approved is somehow less "charging for a patch" than putting it in White Dwarf.

It's only bizarre if you didn't understand my post.

I quite like the CSM one. Hope it's in the eventual codex.

Yeah, that was still true in 8th and the reason why our group has all of these and none of the 9th edition ones', which bear no relevant content.
