A long time ago I used to play 40k chaos, I've considered getting back into it at times. Cost has been a massive factor in jumping back in. I've looked at this as an alternative to buying GW stuff.

Any thought around the pros and cons of this? If I remember correctly I think something like this would disqualify me from tournaments or playing in official GW stores (I'm fine with not playing in tournaments and I'm nowhere near an official GW store). I think the FLGs in town would be cool with me bringing the stuff to play there.

Any other cons?

Those look pretty cool.

Assuming the people you play with are good with them being used I see only 1 potential (minor) downside - say you really like the look, end up having everything, but then the company doesn't produce anything further for the line. :(
That said? I wouldn't let that stop me from getting models I like.

I like the look of the infantry, but I can't stand the tank designs

I can't see what material they will be using. You might want to look into that before dropping loads of cash on the set.

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

Very first line under the "Miniatures" heading:

"The armies from beyond the Veil have been designed in “heroic” 32 mm scale and will be produced in high quality PVC. "

So expect those nice crisp details on the renders to be fairly soft.

Just remember folks. Panic. Panic all the time. It's the only way to survive, other than just being mindful, of course-but geez, that's so friggin' boring. - Aegis Grimm

Okay, I'll be losing a lot of detail
