Hi all

Just came across this in my Kickstarter feed.

So tempted

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/popovlaboratory/3d-printable-hive-city

Even comes with multi level and side wall options!

Versteckt in den Schatten deines Geistes.

Two friends of mine are backing this one.

I remain unconvinced on the verticality aspect of it, but everything else seems very cool.

I think the vertical sections would be good for making a display piece but I don’t see them as easy to use for actual gaming. However, nice for them to provide options.

Ohhh that looks so cool

EDIT: Oh, look, Early Birds where people who know about stuff a little earlier are rewarded, while everyone else can go feth themselves! Nevermind, then. I don't do KSs with Early Birds.

Yeah that was my immediate reaction as well, which someone brought up in the comments and he said he will give the Early Bird to everyone pledging on the first day as well as adding another way for everyone else to still get it. I ultimately chose to cut the guy some slack because he said it's his first campaign and I'm willing to believe him based on the fact that he thought 100 Early Bird slots on a Necromunda campaign map project would take multiple days to run out...

Still a stupid idea to have exclusive early bird items? Yeah. But we all gotta start somewhere.

Cool campaign. I've backed it. Thresholds for stretch goals look a bit high, but hey, we'll see.

The early bird goodie is now for backers who join in the first week. Not too unreasonable. But I think you wouldn’t miss much without it, pretty much all of the other tiles shown so far are better anyway.

Very pretty, but how do you mark anything campaign-related on the tiles? Didn't the Mighty Empires and later Planetary Empires tiles come with small holes for pegged flags and markers?

Yeah, they did.

Guess that is what blu-tac is for.

The 10500€ stretch goal is a set of different boundary markers to draw territory lines, which sort of achieve that function but have the problem of also blocking the height extension holes. So it might be worth someone pointing that out in the comments since it'd be nice to have options.

The one nice thing about this as a 3D print campaign is that there's nothing stopping us from adding a peg hole or making community add-ons I suppose.

On an Express Elevator to Hell!!

This is really cool, would definitely provide a nice alternative to just having a map for a campaign.

Thanks for the link!
