A little picture of all of my stompas, kans, and dreads made over the past few years. I will try to expand the ranks of more humanoid mechs in general, but I am quite happy since it's been my dream starting out with the hobby to make a scratch built stompa..and now I got four of them.

Pardon if the pictures are blurry, my camera is not great, and I think I will reshoot them another time.

That‘s pretty cool! How do you build the Stompas? Also, I can‘t tell which are custom made, I don‘t know these models. Assuming thats WH40k?

These are all scratch built yes, I got threads for construction of two of them: https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/796731.page

And fully scratch built, with barely any official parts from really any kit. Exceptions are few minors bits an a bomb from an old airfix plane kit.

Those are glorious group shots, this is the epitome of Orky! Have you had a chance to play with the entire group??

What would you say are your hobby staples for making these? Great stuff mate

Not really, there was an apocalypse game but lacking a car I couldn't bring them all to the game, thus only one stompa partook in it. The orkanaught (the blue one) and black and huge stompas have partaken in games before (with poor luck for both), and rest have sometimes partook as walkers or kans.

And not sure what you mean by hobby staples? I just kinda had lots of free time and right tools on hand so I would start em and try to finish em by some deadline, first one was "end of the month" second was "to finish in a month", orkanaught just kinda happened in a couple of weeks. The two last ones (the really old school and froggy yellow lads) were made in prep for an apocalypse game to end the year.
Kans were just made after work during the summer as way to relax.
